Chapter 8 - Exposed

It was 8 o'clock, and I was settled on the sofa slurping a year's supply of cup noodles, whilst live streaming BTS' new talk show interview.

As they entered the screen, I gulped. Each one was dressed in a designer suit with the top button undone and tie loosened off.

Wahh! Really?! Look at them! So sexy and handsome!

RM greeted the presenter and the rest of the members took their seats; politely smiling.

"Welcome. It's great to have you on our show. Please introduce yourselves," announced the presenter.

While remaining seated, the members chanted "Hello, we are BTS!" and gave a small bow.

"Thank you for inviting us on your show. It's a pleasure to be here," continued RM.

I quickly scanned all their faces to memory before tuning into the presenter's first question.

"You released an album titled Love Yourself: Tear back in May, which went on to become your highest-charting album of all time. Can you tell us a bit about it?"

"Ahh, yes. Tear was the second installation of our Love Yourself theme, and focussed on the pain and sorrow in loving others and ourselves," answered Suga.

"Sounds very expressive. Did you get your inspiration from real life experiences?"

"Mostly yes. As you know, being famous is not always glamorous. In fact, it can be quite a lonely existence. Along the way, many of us have lost contact with loved ones, missed the opportunity to connect with new people, and inherently developed poor self-image. But with the album, we wanted to explore the idea of self-love, and how it can be used to create meaningful relationships with others," RM replied.

"It seems that being famous is like a double-edged sword."

"I suppose it is."

Gosh, that's sad.

"So leading on from that, Taehyung-ssi, there have been rumours circulating that you may be seeing someone at the moment? Is that true?"

I was dead silent. Not daring to take a breath in case I missed something.

This is what I've been waiting for.

"Ahh," Taehyung stalled, whilst taking a peak at Jimin. "Not at the moment. We're too busy working on various things than to be pursuing love."

Dae bak! Did he just look at Jimin before answering that?! OMG! VMin is alive!!

"Of course. But if you could, is there someone in particular you would like to approach? Someone you have a 'crush' on, let's say?" The presenter pressed.

Holy shit! Are my dreams going to become a reality?!

I watched on with my heart thumping rapidly in my chest.

But my answer never came, because Jin responded instead.

"Personally, my celebrity crush is Brad Pitt."

Noo. Please tell us Taehyung. Please say VMin is real!!

And as the others laughed at Jin's words, Taehyung locked eyes with Jimin again; sharing a private moment.

To be honest, I didn't really remember much after that, as I was too busy living in ship bliss; creating made up scenarios in my head.

I can't believe it! This entire time, I was right! No one can't deny it now! Dae bak! Imagine if they got married. Wahh.

I lay back and stared at the ceiling for a minute, before realising the reality. "But if they're real, then I definitely don't have a chance. I mean, who would be crazy enough to compare them with me? They're literal gods."

I rolled over and hugged my pillow.

It's just not meant to be.
