Walking along the side of a busy city street, Gaipa and Alan walk in silence. Alan was surprised, and wanted to ask. What was he doing here?
"Every time my mom asks me to take her to the bank, I mostly wait outside. Looking for something to eat with mom later."
"So our first meeting was really at Mrs. Hong's funeral."
Gaipa shook his head, apparently not. Gaipa would sometimes go inside the bank, waiting for his mother in the waiting chair like before.
"But we didn't seem to care about each other back then," Gaipa explains with a chuckle at the end.
"So, do you have anything to say?"
Gaipa halted his steps, the smile still not leaving his sweet face. His eyes then narrowed, putting on a slightly annoyed face. "Can't I come see you without something important?"
Alan couldn't help but smile, then shook his head a few times. Of course Gaipa could see him at any time. Just a little confused, because it was usually Alan who went to Gaipa's place.
"Right, I have a lot of things I want to tell you." Gaipa bit his lip briefly, hesitant to bring up the main topic of discussion. "It's about Uncle Jim."
Alan smiled a little and nodded.
"Want to go to my favorite roast beef place?"
This time Alan's smile grew wider, and he nodded again. "Of course, Mr. Gaipa."
----
Cutting, grilling, even knowing what size of fire to grill with, Gaipa really showed that he was indeed a good connoisseur of meat. That said, he also likes all beef preparations but grilled meat is generally everyone's favorite.
"If Mr. Gaipa wants to see me again later, you can wait here until I get off work."
Gaipa nodded his head, right. This place was not too far from the bank where Alan worked.
"In that case, if Mr. Alan happens to want to see me. You can wait at my house until I return from the market."
Alan laughed, hiding his surprise. It felt strange that Gaipa kept him blushing.
"Why?" Gaipa asked, also laughing.
"It's like I'm under attack," Alan replied.
"You feel like I've been seductive you all along?" Gaipa asked again and Alan nodded his head.
"Uncle Jim, I loved him all those years alone."
Alan saw the sadness, which he felt he had experienced not so long ago. Gaipa went on to say that at first he thought Jim knew all about his feelings, he also felt that he had done everything to show Jim how he felt. Then, Wen came along with a love that Gaipa thought was just like he's. But Wen has more courage, while Gaipa just keeps sending signals and Jim doesn't pick up on them.
