This is something that has been poking at my brain for a while now. Why? I don't know. But thanks to a friend of mine who recommended I take to the fantastical place called "Reddit," hopefully this will help my case.

For most of my childhood, I was raised in a very low income area. My parents had decent jobs that payed good money, which meant they could afford things that many of my friends at the time couldn't. Like any child, one of my favorite things to do was watch TV. More specifically, the Saturday morning cartoons that came on. Sure you had stuff like "The Flintstones," "Rocky and Bullwinkle," or the many iterations of the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" series, but there was one specific cartoon that I remember that no one else does... Before I get to my memories of it, let me give a rundown for what the cartoon was like.

It was made sometime in the early to mid 90s. So something like 1993-1996. The animation was spotty, but had decent quality. Think Hanna Barbara\Looney Tunes or something similar to that. The show had an all dog cast, similar to that of Pound Puppies, and the plots revolved around the dogs going on fun, and sometimes even strange adventures. In a way, it was like Pound Puppies meets My Little Pony (specifically the cartoons from the 80s and 90s, not to be confused with the HUB reboots from the 2010s). I'm unsure of how many episodes\seasons it had, but given that barely anyone knows about it, it was probably not a lot. My guess would be 1-2 seasons with roughly 100 or so episodes. It didn't air that often, maybe a couple of times a week. My mom would record the show on VHS for me and my siblings to watch when we'd like, but those tapes have since been destroyed or given to charity.

As for the characters, I only remember the main characters by name. But the main characters were a group of stray dogs that lived in an alley in what I can assume was New York City. There was the dumb yet lovable bloodhound, Mayor Bonehead.

As his name suggests, despite his role as Mayor, he has a few screws loose

As his name suggests, despite his role as Mayor, he has a few screws loose. And in some cases, causes a small portion of the conflict in each episode. I remember a a few cases where this has happened. One involved him accidentally leading a pack of hungry wolves to the alley, mistaking them for stray dogs looking for shelter. Another had him abandon his duties and hand them off to his aides, Scratch and Sniff. Scratch had a similar personality to Bonehead, but was a lot more competent. Yet he couldn't handle the seemingly endless responsibilities as Mayor while his boss was away. Sniff was a lot smarter and was usually the voice of reason when trying to talk Mayor Bonehead (and sometimes Scratch) out of doing something stupid.
