Gate is a Reploid scientist who is formerly a colleague of Saphira, Gate has always sought to create the most powerful Reploids imaginable, a goal twisted into world domination once he is driven mad by experiments on Zenith's DNA. Gate is the creator of the eight Brainiac Investigators, High Max, and the Brainiac Virus itself. He is also responsible for the resurrection of Modle, reborn as Zenith.

The Brainiac Virus is a creation of Gate, an altered form of Zenith Virus made through the study of Zero's DNA. It has a wide variety of effects, as Gate uses it to power up his creations and cause mysterious physical phenomena, and also plans to use the Brainiac Viruses to control Reploids in his ideal utopia. The Brainiac Phenomenon was created to make the public believe that the Maverick Hunters was spreading the Braniac Virus. Isoc used this explanation to rally Reploid volunteers to assist his Braniac Investigators in wiping out the Brainiac Virus, when the actual intention was to gather victims for the Brainiac Virus. The Virus itself has the affect of mutating robots into monstrous versions of themselves
