Timoth Twirl's father worked alongside PaceMaker's father at Vortex Inc. Obsessed with recreating the experiment that gave birth to the speed hero, he became increasingly unstable. His obsession led to his dismissal from Vortex Inc. However, undeterred, he broke into the lab on the bottom floor of the company, determined to achieve his goal. Timoth's father exposed him to a series of unauthorized and dangerous experiments, eventually transforming Timoth into a crazed supervillain.

Overdrive Ostrich was once a renowned Maverick Hunter, part of the elite 7th Airborne Unit. His incredible speed and agility made him an invaluable asset in high-risk missions. However, a tragic accident left him unable to fly, and he was forced into early retirement. Disheartened and feeling obsolete, Overdrive Ostrich became an easy target for Sigma, a powerful Maverick leader. Sigma recognized the ostrich's exceptional abilities and saw potential in utilizing his speed for his own plans. Feeling appreciated for the first time since his accident, Overdrive Ostrich pledged his loyalty to Sigma. Stationed at an abandoned missile base, his mission was to launch a missile at the Hunter Base. However, Pacemaker intercepted and destroyed the missile mid-launch, leading to a dramatic confrontation in the desert.
