The Shredder was a Yautja warrior conducted hunts during the Feudal Japan era (most likely during the Azuchi–Momoyama period) His favourite prey were the medieval Japanese warriors named Samurai. To honor his prey, this Yautja ornated his armor and mask to resemble them and adopted the same weapon as them.
Eventually he thought highly of himself and asked the current king in his time for the Yautja's most powerful weapon, the Plasma Scythe, but he was refused. He defected from the clan, stole the plasma scythe and started his own clan of warriors, the Foot Clan. To create the ultimate hunt, he stole gallons of the substance designated as "Black Goo" and planted the pathogen across planets, and any life forms mutated would be his prey to hunt.

The Foot Clan consist of a multitude of faceless ninjas who exist to do battle with powerful forces and although they tend to fall rather easily they are anything if persistent and continually return to take more punishment. Lead and founded by the Shredder
