Shit. I had no idea there was anyone other than me, Luz, and the twins in the library that night. But, apparently, there was this guy. I stood up and turned to him.

"Uhh- who are you?" I said, internally cursing myself. I should have done some badass introduction like normal, but right now I was mildly worried.

"My identity is confidential. You shall call me the Golden Guard. Got it?" he said sternly.

"How about... Goldie! Yeah, that's a nice nickname," I said, smirking at the Golden Guard.

"How about no," he crossed his arms.

"Too bad, you can't tell me what to do!" I sang, then grabbed a book off the shelf, opening it and rocketing snowballs at his masked face. "See ya, sucker!" I shouted, sprinted away.

"HEY!" he shouted after me, "You can't do that!"

"Too bad, cuz I just did!" I smirked, running up a staircase to the second floor, the Golden Guard running after me.

"You're not allowed to be in the library after closing hours!" he said, and I shrugged.

"Neither are you," I shot back.

"I'm here on Emperor Belos' orders!"

"Emperor Belos, Emperor Smellos- no one cares, Goldie!" I sang, jumping down the last few stairs on the other end of the second floor and grinning. I was kind of loving this, actually.

"Augh! Stop being difficult and let me do my job!"

"Hm... nah," I grinned.

I ran down another aisle, realizing too late it was a dead end. Goddamnit. Goldie was right behind me.

"Ha! You're cornered!" he sang.

"I wouldn't be so sure," I said with a smirk, and then ran straight at him, ducking down and kicking his legs out from under him at the last minute, causing him to fall onto his back.

"Hey!" he exclaimed.

I grinned and ran back into the library, seeing a giant, creepy looking rat thing trying to sew Luz and Amity into a giant book. Wait- since when was Amity here??

"LUZ! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!?" I shouted.

"I DON'T KNOWWW-" she shouted back, and I face-palmed. She was on her own for this one, because I had my own problems to deal with.

The Golden Guard was still chasing me around the library, Luz was being sewn into a giant book, and the twins... Speaking of the twins, where the hell were they?

Whatever. I had bigger problems. I had no idea who exactly this 'Golden Guard' guy was, but he was probably someone who enforced the law around here, so I was screwed.

"Stop running away, you insolent coward!" the Golden Guard shouted after me.

"Nope!" I shouted back, jumping onto a ladder rung and pulling myself onto the bookcase, then kicking the ladder down behind me. "Sucker!" I shouted, sticking my tongue out at the masked guard.

"You little-" he growled, then turned around and seemed to be walking away, before he turned and sprinted back, hopping up the bookshelves until he was right beside me. "Hiiii~" he said, probably grinning under that stupid mask.

"Hey! That's illegal!" I said, pointing a finger at him. He crossed his arms.

"No, it's not. I would know." he said, grabbing my wrist. "Now come face the authorities."
