Third Person
Just as Jennifer opened the door, her mother Lilly came out and began approaching Adrien who was already beginning to walk away. "Gabriel's son, wait!" Jennifer cut in saying, "Mum! He has a name!""Sorry, I mean Adrien. Please can I talk to you for a moment?" Lilly said nervously, as Adrien responds with, "why? Just so you can throw more insults?" Lilly's face fell after hearing that, 'he really is mad at me. Isn't he?'
"No that's not why I came out. The truth is, I wanted to well..apologise for the way I spoke to you the other day," Lilly said sounding ashamed of how she behaved previously. Adrien looked rather intrigued by this but allowed Lilly to continue, "I am deeply sorry for what I said to you about your mother. And for the way I spoke to you, it was completely disrespectful and hurtful, I didn't mean to hurt you. I never wanted to hurt you..I just uh well let my emotions get the better of me and it just all came out. Bottom line is, I'm sorry Adrien." She finished as she looked at Adrien folding her arms, seeing the look on his face after hearing her apology.
"You have no idea how much it affected me after what you said to me the other day, I was an emotional wreck. I couldn't stop thinking about the hurtful words you said, it all playing on repeat in my head, to the point that I broke emotionally. For god's sake, I almost self harmed if it wasn't for Jennifer coming in on time and stopping me..." Adrien blurted out as he wiped his eyes.
Lilly stood there with her hands to her mouth in shock and guilt as she cried into her hands, "oh my god...I never meant for it to lead to that...I'm so so sorry Adrien. As a mother I should know better about a child's feelings..I understand if you never want to talk to me again." She said, surprisingly Adrien placed his hands on either side of her shoulders saying;
"But for what it's worth, I appreciate you realising your mistake and can see you genuinely are sorry." Lilly looked at him with a little hope in her eyes, "does this mean that.." she stuttered, Adrien smiled a little and nodded, "yes it means I forgive you, Lilly." He said as Lilly smiled relieved and hugs Adrien which he was surprised by but hugs her back in response.
Jennifer watched in the doorway and claps her hands after seeing them pull out of the hug. "Well, that was quite a show alright! Mum I'm glad you apologised to Adrien, it really means a lot." She said seeing them both smile as Lilly said, "now that things are good between your brother and me, perhaps it's time you and your father work through your differences and let go of your grudges you hold against him," she finished making Jennifer's face go pale after hearing that, "um mum, I don't think it's a good time right now. I mean my relationship with Father right now is rocky. There's always a fight breaking out between us, I just don't think it's a good time now." Jennifer said.
Lilly raised an eyebrow not convinced, "oh Jenny, you are just as stubborn as he is. You may have taken mostly after me but believe me when I tell you this, by personality traits you are your father's daughter." She said, Adrien laughed a little then added on, "Come on sister, it's never too late. And besides you can come over to the mansion right now, I'm sure our father won't mind."
"Oh that is a perfect idea! Go along Jennifer, and let me know how it goes," Lilly said pushing Jennifer who was folding her arms, towards the car as Adrien pulled her in and told Gorilla to drive. As soon as they arrived, Jennifer was dragged into the mansion by Gorilla, as Natalie saw them coming in and notified Gabriel.
Gabriel comes out of his office, surprised to see Jennifer standing in the centre with her arms folded. "Jennifer? What are you doing here?"
"Brought her over here so you two can sort things out and work out your differences. Cause right now the relationship you both have is toxic, so sort it out." Adrien said going up to his room which left Gabriel rather surprised by how his son spoke with such confidence. Natalie went into the office leaving just Jennifer and Gabriel alone. "We should um talk in the living room," Gabriel said leading Jennifer in as she stared at the surroundings.
