You used to wear glasses since you were six years old. But since the kids used to bully you, you have no choice but to wear contact lenses instead.
It was hard. You were afraid to take it out before you sleep at night. You were afraid to touch your eyes. But it was worth it.
And since you weren't wearing any glasses, you became one of the smartest and most popular in school.
And today, you received five confessions from your senpais. You sighed. You weren't going to accept their confessions anytime soon. Because there is only one person you'll ever like...or love.
His name was Ryugazaki Rei. And you doubt that he likes you back. There was no way someone like him would anyway.
You were close friends with Gou and she was the only one who knew your megane secret.
"Gaaah... Where's (Y/N)-chan??" Gou groans.
"I'm right here, Gou." You told her with a look on your face.
"I told you to call me K-waaah?!?! How long have you been there?!" She shrieks.
"I've been here the whole time. You were too busy to look." (LEWL, Kuroko much?) You sighed.
"Anyway, now that you're here, are gonna confess to him? Hm?" Gou nudges your arm.
"W-what are you talking about???" You stuttered, flustered.
"I'm talking about him." She snickers.
"I-I don't know." You looked down, fidgeting a little.
Rei Ryugazaki Narrative
(Y/N) likes someone? I wonder who it is... It's not like it's going to be me or anything. There's only a 51.03% that she does.
Why do I feel like this? Besides, a person as beautiful as her can never love someone like me..
And if I continue on eavesdropping, there's a 73.01% chance that she might hate me when they find out.
I sighed and left. Why do I feel disappointed.
My Narrative
"Fine. I guess I'll confess to Rei later... I dunno..." You sigh.
-Time skip to confession-
"You want to see me?" Rei asked you.
"Wha? Who-"
"Gou told me."
"I-I see. I have to tell you something, Rei-kun."
"Go ahead," (Nanodayo, hahahaha//slapped SORRY OKAY?!)
"Actually I... Look I... Uh... Rei-kun I-I uhh..."
He firmly pressed his hands on your shoulders to remove some tension.
You flinched but soon relaxed to his touch and sigh.
"Rei-kun, I have liked you for a long time now and..." Once you realized what you said, you quickly covered your mouth.
But he gave you an encouraging look, his hands still on your shoulders.
"And I... I want to ask if you'd like to...be...my...boyfriend..?" You trailed off.
"I wanted to ask you that, (Y/N)." He smiled.
You blushed and sighed. This time, you'll ask him that question.
"Rei-kun, if I wore glasses, would you still like me?" You looked down.
"Why wouldn't I?"
You exhaled, removing your contact lenses. Rei's eyes widened as you take out your glasses.
"This is the real me, Rei-kun." You wore the glasses and smiled sadly at him.
Rei's face heats up instantly and even I wouldn't be surprised if steam comes out of his ears.
"Y-you look...more beautiful."
"R-really..?" You fidgeted.
Suddenly, his index finger and thumb trapped your chin and made you look at him. He crashed his lips onto yours in a soft, passionate kiss.
