Silver was flying to near the high peak of Jade Mountain Academy. It was his first time coming to a school with this many other tribes, and his first time learning alongside them. So to say, he was quite nervous.

But nonetheless, when he landed on the ledge outside the school, he walked steadily inside.

"Hi new dragon!" a loud voice chirped too close to his ear, causing him to take an instinctive step back. He analyzed the dragon, finding out that she was a NightWing, a little older than himself. "I'm Fatespeaker! What's your name?"

"Oh, hi!" he said enthusiastically. "I'm Silver!"

"Neat! You look like a SilkWing, but you're a little different... Hmm." she observed as she handed him a couple scrolls (one of which was a map and the other was a list of the Winglets).

"I'm half IceWing too," he told her.

"Oh that's cool!" she said, then laughed at herself. "Haha, no pun intended."

"Haha," he laughed along, before he headed into the first cave.

It was a rather large cave, with a large crowd of dragons including several RainWings, SandWings, NightWings, a few IceWings, and a cluster of MudWings. Confused, he pulled out his map of the caves. Oh, Prey Center, he thought as he found the cave on the map. Would I want to eat anything? He rolled up the map again. He decided to head through, which was the most direct route to the dorm marked as his from here, and if he saw something that looked good on the way he'd have some. So Silver weaved through the crowd of dragons, occasionally spotting a chicken or a goat among them, but of course he wasn't about to eat meat of all things.

Suddenly he tripped on something, which turned out to be a MudWing's tail, as he found out when the dragon whirled around and sent him flying forward. Unfortunately for him, he was headed straight toward a brilliantly blue IceWing who had turned to find out what the commotion was about. Cold wings slammed into his, and they both overbalanced and landed with a thump. The whole cave silenced almost instantly, waiting with bated breath.

Oh moons, he thought. Silver opened his eyes to find the IceWing's blue eyes gazing back at him in surprise.

He couldn't move. All he could do was gaze into this dragon's eyes, feeling the cold underbelly under his, and cold wings under his talons.

And a cold snout pressed against his.

He blushed, but couldn't bring himself to move.

"H-hi gorgeous," Silver stammered, trying to break the heavy silence. Muttering broke out somewhere in the crowded dragons around them, and he finally managed to stumble off the IceWing to let him stand up.

"...w-what?" the IceWing asked, sounding flustered.

"I... n-n-nevermind," he stammered. "Um, I'm Silver."

"I'm P- Winter," he said, glancing away. Everyone hesitated for a moment, until the IceWing - Winter - walked away, mumbling something about homework or studying.

"Interesting," a new voice said. Silver turned around to see a pale yellow SandWing had stepped forward a little, watching Winter leave the room with an amused expression.

"What?" he asked.

"It might just be me," the yellow dragon replied slowly. "But I think Winter likes you."
