If you have any questions feel free to message me via inbox or comment on this story. Try to avoid asking them on my message board, but if I don't reply after a few days, then feel free to do so.

Please don't send the link to your story in the comments section of this story either, thank you.

If payment hasn't been complete (see "rules") then your entry will not be added to my reading list. It will take time to consider each entry. For that, I would like some sort of contribution in return which might sound mean/selfish but hey ho...

Good luck!

----------------------------------

• Can the entry be edited?

The entry can be edited if you like but if it's updated after the 20th June then it won't be considered and will be removed from the reading list. This is to make it fair.

• Can the entry be poetry?

No. It can only be prose, as comparing poetry to stories is actually really hard to do and this is a contest after all xD

• What's payment?

Payment doesn't literally mean money, it just means that in order for you to enter, you have to either follow my account or add one of my stories to your reading list. Maybe this one?

• What if someone copies my work?

If someone plagiarises your work then I will let that author know and they will he disqualified. I will know who's copied by reading the entries (obviously) and because I know which entries are earlier and which have been added in later.

• Is it under 1,000 words or can there be 1,000 words exactly?

It's 1,000 words or under so your entry can have 1,000 words exactly.

• Can it be of any genre?

Yes it can be, as long as the genre isn't fan fiction because that wouldn't include your own; full original ideas.

• What can count as 'loss'?

Anything at all that involves a loss! e.g. someone losing something, someone dying - anything. It's quite a broad theme so as long as your work is written about loss in any shape or form, that's fine.

• Can it have more than one chapter?

It can have as many, or as little, parts as you'd like as long as it all equals to 1,000 words or less.
