Following their return from Eldemyr, (y/n) hadn't needed to worry about any sort of crisis again. When the incident involving the officials from Hamel arose, Add left to handle it by himself and returned with an entire nation at his beckoning. When Velder was attacked by outside forces, Add was there to stop the threat and heal the injured. The nation owed him. He was practically a ruler with assets of all kinds at his beckoning call. Yet, through it all, Add was still himself. That hadn't changed one bit.

In fact, they still lived in the exact same home living life the same way they had before. The only difference was that it felt a little more natural now that Add had less to concern himself with. The amount of sick residents decreased to the point where he hardly got any patients because he was simply that good at his job. (Y/n) was still his number one supporter through it all.

Although it was far too early in the morning for her to be awake, (y/n) was already in the kitchen. She quickly raced to finish putting together the breakfast she had made with Raven's help. She didn't mind him using the heat of his arm to assist this time.

"Be careful or you'll fall," Raven spoke as he left the kitchen. "I'll be back in three days. Make sure Add doesn't go off starting anything while I'm gone."

"As his tactics representative, shouldn't it be your job to prevent that sort of thing from happening to begin with?" (y/n) questioned as she made the finishing touches to the meal she prepared. A picture perfect breakfast with a pair of pastries on the side.

"You know how he is. If he really wants to cause a problem, you're the only one that can stop him. I'll send a letter ahead of me if anything happens while I'm gone." Raven gave her a half hearted wave.

"Take care!" she called after him. She then smiled at the finished meal. She checked the clock and almost panicked. "He'll be awake any minute now." Even though she was in a hurry, (y/n) took her time taking the carefully prepared plate to the room she shared with Add. He never went out of his way to find a solution as he liked to call it.

When (y/n) got to their room, she found that Add was still in bed. She found that odd since he usually woke up right on time without the use of in alarm. Not minding the details, she headed over to him. "Good morning, Add," she called to him. He opened his eyes almost immediately, making (y/n) a bit suspicious. "Were you already awake?"

"Yes. Earlier this morning, you tried to sneak out of here without me noticing." He briefly laughed. "I'm more attentive than you give me credit for."

"I see..." she mumbled with a pout. "I made you breakfast. It's your day off, so I wanted to surprise you a little. I guess you kind of saw it coming already."

"Just because I guessed that you'd surprise me doesn't mean I knew what it would be." He sat up and yawned before patting the empty space next to him that belonged to her. "We'll share," he said, sleep still in his eyes. He must have almost fallen asleep again while waiting for her. "Did Raven already leave?"

"Hm?" (Y/n) set the plate down between them. "Yeah, he just left. Why?"

"Is Dynamo also taking a break today too?"

Now she saw where this was going. "Yes, he's in sleep mode right now. Again, why do you ask?"

Add smirked for a brief moment. "That means I get to spend the day alone with you, right? I can't think of a better way to spend my time off." He  leaned over and kissed her cheek before turning his attention the the food.

They shared their meal in silence as usual. A moment of peace for the both of them to simply enjoy one another's presence as they often did. Add paused to reach over and wipe a few crumbs from her face, smiling as he did so. (Y/n) found herself staring at him since she hadn't expected the action. A particular detail caught her attention causing her to act instinctively on the thought that passed through her mind. Add flinched when her fingertips made contact with his neck. He no longer went out of his way to cover the scar there.

"It really is disappearing," (y/n) mumbled. She hadn't doubted for a moment that Add could actually get rid of it, but seeing the progress with her own eyes was a little different.

"Your hand is cold," Add quietly spoke without looking her in the eyes. His ears were tinted in a bright red.

"Oh, I'm sorry." (Y/n) quickly pulled her hand away. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." Add only hummed in acknowledgement of her apology. He picked up the mostly empty plate and had his dynamos take it away as he got closer to (y/n) to take hold of her hand.

"If you want to touch a scar, then you're more than welcome to touch this one." He guided her over to trace the line beneath his eye. "I don't mind at all."

"Didn't you just say that my hand was cold..."

"It still is," Add commented. He kept his gaze on her, unwavering. "Do you want to go back to sleep?"

"Huh?" That was a first. "Are you actually suggesting that we sleep in for the day?" She moved her hand to rest against his forehead beneath his bangs. "Are you catching a fever? Did you accidentally inhale a toxic chemical? Don't tell me you came across a plant that you're allergic to!" Add deadpanned at her to which she laughed. "What? Can't I joke with you sometimes?"

Add looked off to the side slowly cracking a smile. "Sometimes is the wrong word to be using. You joke all of the time." He pulled her hand down. "One day of sleeping in on my day off isn't going to hurt me. Wouldn't you agree?" Add began to attack her with kisses before she could answer sending her into a fit of laughter as she playfully attempted to fight him off. Her attempts failed, but Add ended up stopping on his own. He pulled her into a hug that (y/n) was certain she wasn't going to be able to escape from any time soon.

"If I had actually stayed a nasod researcher and you had been an assassin, do you think you would have still loved me?"

"Hm?" (Y/n) didn't know where that came from, but she chose to go along with his question. "Of course I would."

"What if I had gotten you to research them too? Would you still say the same thing."

"Nasod research or not, I would still love you."

"And if I had found a way to go back to my era? Would you have stayed with me then?"

(Y/n) reached up to placed her hand in his hair and played with random strands of it. "You could have broken the laws of time and space several times over and I'd still love you just as much as I do now. Why are you so worried? I won't go anywhere. Neither will you."

Add closed his eyes and hugged her a little tighter. "Yes, you're right. Everything is just fine."

In the end, it was they themselves that carved out their own paths and stuck with them. Both born into worlds that wanted to choose for them, yet both still changing the paths of their destiny with their own hands. And for all that it was worth, love was a major factor in it all. For Add, and every Add before him.
