It was yet another day just like any other. (Y/n) woke up earlier than usual to find that Add was already gone. They had only been living in Bethma for a week and a half, yet Add was already busier than he had ever been back in Elder.
"Good morning, Master (Y/n)." Dynamo greeted her as she sat up from the bed and rubbed her eyes. The nasod servant was not allowed to leave the room, for Add didn't want anything happening to him. As one of the last remnants of his kind, Dynamo was of high value to anyone seeking to make a quick cash exchange whether they knew what he was or not. "Master Add has instructed me to give you an explanation."
"I know. He's already out visiting his patients again." He had taken his job as a medic very seriously. (Y/n) found herself feeling proud of him for also taking better care of himself as well. He went to sleep at reasonable times, and woke up early to finish whatever he didn't complete the previous day. His sudden change of sleep schedule was more of a miracle than the medicines he was studying.
"Actually," Dynamo began. "Master Add has chosen to finish the investigation of the nasods who attacked in Elder." (Y/n) frowned at the news.
Just fours days ago, Dynamo figured out what information was left behind by the nasod assassins. Add determined that their creator had left no traces behind on the chips other than the nasods' code names and the basic programimg to run a fully functioning killer. He reasoned that since he no longer held any real interest in the nasod race, they should be fine as long as they kept a low profile. (Y/n) hadn't expected him to go back on his word and delve into the case any further. It was asking for trouble, and both of them knew it.
"Where did he go? I'm going to talk to him."
"That is what I am trying to warn you about, Master (Y/n)." Dynamo's voice held a hint of concern. "He left last night while you were asleep. He has not returned as of yet. As per his instructions, I am required to inform you of the situation and give you permission to access my self defense mode if necessary."
"What?" (Y/n) quickly got out of bed and began to search the room for a change of clothes and her bag of stones. It had become an unconscious habit to fully relax in Add's presence which was why she didn't react to any sounds when she slept near him. She felt safe, but now that secure feeling had backfired on her. "Why didn't you wake me up? You let him go out there alone? To fight those nasods?" She quickly changed her clothes even while she ranted. "Seriously, he can't possibly be that stubborn!" She knew he was. That's why she was so upset about it.
"Please calm down, Master (Y/n). There are no nasods involved. Not as of right now. Master Add went to set up probes in the area around the city. According to the plan, they were to be placed five miles away from Bethma around the entire perimeter." Dynamo quickly moved aside to avoid (y/n)'s shoulder as she rushed past him to grab a medical patch that Add created to reduce her water loss. "The task has simply taken longer than expected. There is no need to worry."
"He's out there by himself, and I'm supposed to just be fine with that?!" she snapped at the nasod servant. His digitized voice produced a sigh.
"I can monitor Master Add's vitals from here. He is perfectly fine," Dynamo calmly explained.
(Y/n) didn't move for a moment. She felt her heart rate easing back down to normal. "Why did you make it sound like he was in trouble?"
"You did not give me the time to finish my explanation before you began to take action. Master Add asked that you not leave the inn until his return. In the event that there is a notable change in his health status, then you may leave and take me with you for protection. Master Add has taken it upon himself to prevent the very thing that you are currently worrying about."
