The Battle of Manhatten, 2009.

Travis Stoll, son of Hermes, older, full-blooded brother to Conner Stoll, son of Hermes has found the body of Katie Gardner, daughter of Demeter.

The girl he pranked.

The girl he loved.

"Hey, hey! Stay with me. Keep awake, I need you Katie! You can't leave! Please! Please." Travis yelled, his final plea a broken whimper.

If only I hadn't gone into the candy shop, I could've been at her side. I could have protected her.

If only I had seen the signs. I could've stopped Luke.

If only-

"It won't do you any good." Travis looked up, all noises except the crackling of fire and the mysterious voice dulled.

"Running the scenarios through your head. How you might have been able to save people." The person was Kronos, titan of Time. But he still looked like Luke.

Travis gave a bitter laugh that almost hid the broken quiver in his voice. Kronos understood nothing.

"You don't understand. I loved her. She was the sunshine in my life. She held the fire that kept my world turning. She died think I hated her! And maybe I could've protected her, had I only stayed by her side. I would've taken her insults. Because I loved her. AND NOW SHE'S GONE THANKS TO YOU!" He yelled the last part, launching Katie's fallen dagger at Luke/Kronos' face.

The dagger was buried in between the eyes of the targeted person, but said being pulled it out with ease.

"Tsk tsk, Travis. You should know a titan is much too powerful to be killed by a puny dagger." And with a hellish noise, Kronos flung the dagger at Travis, shooting it clean through his heart.

Gasping, Travis shot up, almost hitting his head on the top bunk. He pulled up his legs, shivering.

A faint whimper escaped his lips and a tear traced down his cheek. It has all seemed so... real.

It was time to tell Katie the truth.

Another war was coming and Travis was not going to risk letting Katie die without knowing how he felt.

A/N: admittedly, not my best work. I think it's this weird writing phase where I interlock a lot of sentences, then add a short one for emphasis or something. Idk. Hope it's alright!
