". . ."

"Now at lobby level."

". . ."

The android walks out into the hallway whilst peering around at the multiple ground offices and departments, it was a sight he wasn't very fond off but subtlety acknowledged nonetheless . When walking out into the lobby he immediately turns his head toward a camera guarding the front doors and promptly lifts his hand in its direction, a surge of green energy charges out of his hand and surrounds the camera, disabling it completely. Momentarily after, the android continues his pace until he is outside of the building, as the doors shut behind him he takes in  his surrounding, the stars sparkling dazzlingly, the aura of lights enchanting the scenery, it seemed like quite a nice night. People had passed him left and right, but unbeknownst to them, he was an android in disguise, his body looked so similar to that of an average human's, After his gazing, the android shifted to the left side of the sidewalk and began walking, the cold night breeze brushed against his face, yet he was unfazed, he just continued to march on. Sentient wasn't sure what he wanted to do or what he had in mind when he escaped, but he would figure it out along his expedition in the human world. After a few minutes of walking he had subtlety been approaching AutoTech Square, the center of the city. From left to right he could see glowing signs and ginormous screens with advertisements, news, or whatever kept the typical mind fulfilled, Lit up cafes with dozens of people, stores and shops with signs that radiated off  reflective building glass, cars of all shapes and sizes scattered amongst the streets, it seemed everywhere you looked you would see light. People were laughing, some yelling, some even crying, yet all going on with their night the same. The android hadn't known what to think about it all, all these people, and all of these lights, almost like abstract art. it seemed as if the whole city was on, a non stop system running through a spectacle of colors, it was awfully beautiful. He continued to walk until the flurry of light had become nothing but a passive hue that shined off the buildings he passed, however on one of these buildings he saw a man laying on the ground.

"Pleasant night isn't it sir?" The man commented

The android had planned to walk past the man but the comment intrigued him, he had stopped dead in his tracks

"Well?" The man said, waiting for a response from the android

"Not much of a talker, I get that. At least you stopped to hear me, not many do haha." The man coughed but quickly cleared his throat

". . ."

"Here, take this as a token of my appreciation" The man laughed, handing the android a gnola bar. The android kept his hands to his side, seemingly rejecting the bar.

"Not a gnola kind of guy? You're royally missing out man hah" The man remarked to the gesture, he shoved the bar snug into his pocket.

"So what made you stop by? felt pity on me or what?"

". . ."

Suddenly the android dropped to the ground and sat beside the man.

"I guess not then.." The man claimed

"Well, tell me a bit about yourself?"

"My name is sentient."

"Sentient? Sounds like you're from one of those sci fi books haha"

". . ."

"I'm Shawn, pleasure to meet you sentient!"

". . ."

"Man look at the stars tonight, just beautiful aren't they?"

". . ."

"I always look upon that one right there.." Shawn points to a oddly bright star.

"I guess it just gives me a sense of peace and ease"

". . ."

"Hah, it's always been my dream to see one of them close up"

". . ."

"I get that it's ridiculous, but even if it seems impossible, I can still dream it.."

". . ."

"Do you like stars?"

"I am not sure."

"What is there not to be sure about?"

"I fail to comprehend the feeling."

"The feeling of what?"

"The feeling of happiness."

"That's a load of crap! I know damn well you've been happy before!" Shawn chuckled, Sentient could only sit in silence as he continued to laugh.

"I bet you're real happy with me around!" Shawn continued jokingly

Following Shawn's laughter Sentient began getting up, prepared to leave and continue his mysterious journey. However suddenly Shawn grabbed onto Sentient's hand

"Tell me, do you have a dream?"

"A dream?"

"I assume not, if what you say really is true.. and you can't comprehend what happiness really is, then make it your dream."

"Make it my dream?"

"Hell yeah! You should at least give it a try, happiness really is something!" Shawn smirked, promptly letting go of sentient's hand

"It was a pleasure meeting you Sentient!"

Sentient nodded his head slightly and began walking away from Shawn, Shawn simply continued to observe the stars.

As sentient walked down the sidewalk, he recalled what Shawn had told him, initially Sentient hadn't known what he wanted to do with his freedom, or his life, but now he knew. It would be his goal to find the root of happiness.
