mariana arrived at the vega house and knew she was going to be there before tori and cat since she left karaoke dokie before them, but rang the doorbell anyway.
the door opened to reveal tori's older sister trina. not many people liked trina. mariana didn't necessarily dislike trina, but she didn't like her either. she just simply didn't care for her.
"mariana! what're you doing here? did you want to hang out with me? i mean, i'm really busy so now isn't a good time, but—."
"no, i'm here for tori, so if you could just move..." mariana interrupted.
"oh, well tori's not here. she's out with cat, her weird friend, and i don't know i guess beck is there. how is beck, is he still with jade because—."
mariana huffed and rolled her eyes. "trina, can i please just come in?"
"ugh, fine."
trina stepped back and mariana went inside.
just as trina went to close the door, someone was behind it and she slammed it in their face.
"ah!" they shrieked.
by how high-pitched it was, she could tell it was cat.
trina slowly opened the door to see a crying cat.
"trina!" tori exclaimed.
"you guys shouldn't have came up to the door while i was closing it." trina shrugged.
tori grunted and turned cat around.
"are you okay, cat?" tori asked.
"yeah. but trina's really mean!" cat exclaimed.
"i'm not mean." trina folded her arms.
they all stood there in silence.
"ugh, whatever!" she exclaimed and stormed upstairs.
tori and cat entered the house and closed the door.
"your house is really nice." mariana complimented as she looked around.
"oh, thank you." tori smiled. "anyway, why don't we go sit down?"
mariana took a seat on the couch and cat plopped down.
tori went to sit down, but cat whined.
"tori. my face hurts."
tori sighed. "i'll get you some ice."
tori went to the kitchen and got some ice.
"mariana do you want something to drink?" tori called.
"uh, whatever soda you have is good with me." she called back.
"cool!"
she poured them some soda.
"could you guys help me?" tori asked.
"but my face hurts!" cat cried.
tori huffed and mariana got up and grabbed two of the soda's while tori carried her own and cat's bag of ice.
she plopped the ice down on cats face.
cat began giggling. "it's cold."
"of course it's cold, cat. it's ice." tori replied.
cat continued giggling and she pressed the ice down on her face.
tori shook her head and sat down next to mariana.
"so. i have a question." tori said.
"and i have an answer." mariana replied.
"why do you hate jade?" tory asked.
mariana groaned and sat back.
"oh come on, you have to have a real reason. was she mean to you or something?" tori questioned.
"she's mean to everyone. i've known her since we were kids and she was always just so rude. she was rude to me, of course, but has just always been mean-spirited to everyone. she made someone cry until the point they threw up in second grade. it was awful." mariana explained.
tori exhaled. "yeah. jade is pretty mean, but i mean once you get to know her she isn't...that bad."
"trust me, she is. i know y'all are friends with her," mariana said then looked to tori. "or at least cat and the others are. maybe not robbie though. anyway, if jade doesn't want to be friends with you, that's a good thing."
tori didn't reply and just looked at cat who was playing with the bag of ice on her face.
"hey, where's your bathroom?" mariana asked.
"oh. down the hall and to the left." tori answered.
"cool. thanks."
tori smiled and nodded and the ginger girl made her way to the bathroom.
"cat."
"hi tori."
"how's your face."
cat giggled. "cold."
tori sighed and the doorbell rang.
"tori! get the door!" trina yelled.
"yeah, i was planning on it, trina!" tori yelled back.
tori got up and opened the door to her house to reveal jade.
"jade. hi. um, now isn't a good time."
cat gasped and stood up.
"jade's here?" she whisper-shouted.
"yes, i'm here. now get out of my way, vega."
jade pushed past tori and entered the house.
"okay then." tori muttered and closed the door.
"hi jade! do you want ice?" cat asked, nervously.
"no i don't want ice, cat. what happened to your face?" jade asked.
"trina slammed the door on it." tori answered.
jade chuckled. "wish i was here for that."
"what's that supposed to mean!" cat exclaimed.
"nothing it's just funny." jade laughed.
cat pouted and plopped down on the couch.
"what're you doing here?" tori asked.
jade turned to look at her.
"because i need to yell at someone." jade answered.
"so you came here?" tori raised her eyebrows.
"yeah, so i could yell at you." jade said with a shrug.
tori tilted her head at her and gave her a look.
"is this about mariana?" she asked.
"yeah, she's a bitch. ugh, she's always been a snotty little brat. ever since elementary school. she always stole people's friends and turned people against each other. she was a mean girl. not me level mean, but mean like a mean popular girl. it's probably because she's rich and has an amazing family that spoiled her. i just want to kick her face in!" jade exclaimed.
she picked up a pillow from the couch and flung it, the pillow hitting cat's face.
"ow! my face!" cat cried.
she grabbed the ice and placed in on her face then exhaled with a giggle.
tori winced at cat, then looked back at jade. before she could respond, mariana came out of the bathroom.
"your hand soap smells really good..."
she then saw none other than jade west standing in the middle of tori's living room.
