"what just happened?" tori questioned.

mariana sighed and plopped down on the couch. "i don't even know."

"jade isn't gonna take that well." tori replied.

"hehe, yeah. she's gonna kill you or something." cat giggled.

"that's not funny, cat!" tori exclaimed.

"sorry." cat muttered.

"whatever, i'm not scared of her." mariana rolled her eyes.

"you probably should be." tori nodded.

"never have been, never will be. anyway, i should probably get going. see you guys in school." mariana said.

"see you." tori replied with a sigh.

"byeeee, mariana!" cat waved.

"bye."

she then exited the house and walked to her car.

well, what used to be a car.

the tires were slashed and there were key marks all over the car. the driver's side window was smashed in.

mariana went over to her car and peered inside. it was trashed.

she shook her head and stomped on the ground.

there was only one person who could've done this.

jade west.

"yeah, thank you." mariana nodded to the guy towing her car.

she then turned to the officer as the tow truck pulled away.

"do you have any idea who would do this? and why?" the officer asked.

yes and yes, mariana thought.

but she didn't say that. she didn't know why, though. she should've said that.

she hated jade.

right?

"uh, no and no. and even if i did, i wouldn't wanna press charges. probably just some drunk idiot i don't know." she lied with a shrug.

"okay. well, if you don't want to press charges, then there's nothing more i can do for you. of course, you're car will be fixed, but i can't do anything else." the officer replied.

mariana nodded. "i know. thank you."

"sure."

he put his notepad and pen away then left mariana standing there alone.

she sighed and took out her pear phone.

she went to her contacts and called robin.

"hey, best friend!" robin cheered as she answered the phone. "how was karaoke doki?"

"um i'll explain when you come and pick me up down the street from tori's house." mariana squeezed her eyes shut, hoping robin would agree.

"wait, what happened to your car?" robin questioned.

"i'll explain in the way to my house if you come get me." mariana replied.

"okay, i'll be right there."

"thanks. bye."

"bye."

mariana hung up and sighed, before shaking her head.

what she said to jade may have been wrong, but not wrong enough to damage her car.
