Chapter 9 - Power of Pregnancy

"Avi wake up..." Kevin shook Avi's body. Avi's eyes slowly opened and he regained conscious. He looked around and saw that he was lying down on the living room couch. "Hey buddy...I think it's about time you woke up don't you think? You've been out all night..." Kevin explained. Avi slowly rose from the couch and stood up.

"What happened to me...?"

"I don't know if I should tell you again..." Kevin scratched his head.

"Just tell me..." Avi sighed.

"...Well...DON'T FAINT but...Jenna's pregnant and you're the dad..."

"Holy shit..." Avi buried his head in his hands. "I guess I have to go see her then..." Avi made his way up the stairs. On his way he could hear crying coming from Kirstie's room. Avi slowly slipped in and saw Kirstie in the corner of her room weeping. "Kirstie..." Avi bent down and hugged her. This made her cry even harder. "Shh...it's okay..." Avi rubbed her back.

"N-no i-it's not..."

"Yes it is..." Avi kissed her head.

"Stop...t-this c-can't carry o-on...you're g-gonna be a d-dad..." Kirstie wiped her tears. "She's won...I give up." Avi's eyes widened in shock.

"No she hasn't..."

"YES! She's fucking won, we can't be together anymore...just go..." Kirstie said. He tried to kiss her but she turned her head. Avi's eyes were starting to get watery. Suddenly, a tear ran down his face. He got up and left the room without a word. He walked to Jenna's room, took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"Come in..." Jenna called. Avi went inside and sat beside her on her bed. "So...you're gonna be a dad..." Jenna chuckled.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" Avi said sternly.

"Whoa, calm down...I only found out yesterday..."

"Oh...sorry..." Avi sighed.

"Look Avi, I'm sorry for everything I did to you, I was scared that you were gonna leave me!"

"So that's why you fucking knocked me out twice?!" Avi yelled.

"Yes! And I'm sorry! That was completely unacceptable of me...I've changed. I wanna make this work Avi...for the baby..." Jenna said. Avi didn't know whether he believed her or not. "Please Avi...he or she needs both parents in their life..."

"...Just for the baby...we're not together!" Avi sighed. The pair hugged, Jenna pulled away and their faces were almost touching. Jenna leaned in and kissed Avi on the lips. He quickly pulled away.

"No Jenna..."

"...I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me...you can go if you want..." Jenna said. Avi stood up and left the room.

Jenna's mind:Not together? We'll see about that!

In the lounge, Mitch and Scott were playing Mari Kart. "FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!" Mitch threw his controller out of his hand.

"Oh come on Mitch, 10th place isn't that bad!" Scott smiled.

"Don't lie to me Hoying! I was doing fine until that thunder came and hit me, and don't even get me started on those big ass characters like Bowser bashing into me! Urg! The lack of respect!" Mitch flicked his hair.

"Well next time don't choose baby Peach! She's one of the weakest!" Scott explained.

"But she's so sassy! I love her!"Mitch chuckled. Suddenly Kirstie walked into the room, she looked like a mess.

"...Hey guys, do you mind if I stay here?" Kirstie sniffed.

"Not at all babe, sit down!" Scott smiled. Kirstie slouched on a bean bag.
