Chapter 12 - Among us Again

The group woke up from sleeping outside for the night. They walked along in the woods. It was clear they couldn't stay in a burnt down lake house anymore, so they had to find a new place to stay. "What the fuck even caused the f-fire?" Kirstie was shaking in fear. Avi held her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

"I don't know Kirst, but we have to stay strong..." Avi explained. Tori, who was leading the group suddenly stopped.

"What is it Tori?" Scott asked.

"Kevin? Kevin is that you?" Tori bent down to Kevin who was leaning against a tree sleeping. "Kevin?" Tori shook his body and Kevin's eyes slowly opened. Tori threw her arms around him. "Thank God you're alright!" Tori sighed with relief.

"How'd I get here...?" Kevin looked at his surroundings.

"It doesn't matter, as long as you're fine. Kevin i'm so sorry for what I did to you, I was being a complete bitch. I almost died and now I realized I can't die without letting you know that I love-" Tori stopped speaking, her face turned cold, her eyes traveled down to his hand holding a match box. "No..." Tori's eyes widened.

"Tori...?" Kevin looked at her with confusion. Tori's hands turned into firm fists, she raised them and punched him across the face. The rest of the group gasped. Kevin realized what was in his hand. "What the hell?" He examined it.

"You sick bastard!" Tori stood up and walked over to Avi. She pulled him forcefully into a kiss making sure Kevin saw, then walked away into the woods. Avi stood there stunned at what just happened.

"THAT BITCH!" Kirstie yelled. Her face was red with anger.

Jenna's mind: Tori is playing with fire.

Kevin got up off the ground and walked up to Avi. "You put this here, didn't you? For whatever reason, you put this in my hand to turn Tori against me and win her heart!" He yelled.

"Will you stop accusing me for everything? I couldn't have done it, I was in the fucking fire!" Avi snapped at him. "The fire happened at a lake house we were staying at, we managed to get out, we slept outside and now we're here."

"While everyone else was sleeping, you could've planted it on me!" Kevin narrowed his eyes.

"You're a fucking idiot." Avi rolled his eyes. Kevin threw a punch at him, and Avi fell to the ground. Kevin climbed over Avi and punched him side to side. The group tried to pull Kevin off but he was too strong.

"STOP KEVIN!" Kirstie was almost in tears. Avi managed to push Kevin off. He then punched Kevin in the stomach. Kevin groaned loudly in pain. Kirstie ran up to Avi and pulled him away. "Avi please calm down." She cupped her hands around his face and looked him in the eyes. Avi wiped some blood away from his nose. Kirstie kissed him to calm him down. Kevin got his balance to stand up and looked up at Avi and Kirstie.

"OHH HOW CUTE!" Kevin said sarcastically.

"I'm so fucking tired of your shit Kevin! You know what, I'm out of here." Avi limped away.

"WAIT! We're supposed to stick together as a team!" Scott called out. "What if something happens to you?" Avi just ignored him and kept walking.
