The Mansion (PTX) : Book 1

Chapter 3 - Dangers of Dinner

The group all gathered in the dining room for dinner. The dining room had 14 seats placed around the shiny brown table. Above the table was a golden chandelier that lit the room perfectly. There was also a great view of the night sky because of the large windows. Todrick sat in front of the windows - the seat perfectly center to the table. On the left side of the table (Going from closest to Todrick to furthest) sat Zoe, Colleen, Ryan, Kevin, Tori, Avi. On the right side (Going from closest to Todrick to furthest) sat Lilly, Scott, Mitch, Tyler, Jenna and Kirstie. Those seats were arranged for them so Jenna and Kirstie had no choice but to be stuck together. They sat next to each other in silence, both covered with cuts and bruises. Todrick decided to break the tension as he stood up to make an announcement. "It's been a rocky start to 'The Mansion' but I'm proud to be able to gather everyone on Day 2. Alive and well." Kirstie rolled her eyes. "Before we eat, I would like to make a toast to 'The Mansion'." Todrick lifted his glass and everyone followed what he did, well mostly everyone. Avi just sat there staring at the table. "Well with that said let's eat!"

"Aren't we going to say gra-" Kevin was interrupted by Tori.

"Ssssh Kevin, I'm hungry." Tori then stuffed her face with a pepperoni pizza.

"OH MY GOSH THERE'S PIZZA!" Mitch squealed and filled his plate with 3 slices. By now everyone was eating except for Avi, he just sat there.

"Avi...please eat. You haven't eaten all day." Kirstie said softly. Avi didn't reply. "Please Avi..." Kirstie looked at him with concern.

"No..." Avi mumbled

"Avi..." Kirstie frowned.

"I said no!" Avi snapped at her, he didn't shout but it was loud enough to silence the table. Kirstie almost had tears in her eyes. Kirstie's head sharply turned to Jenna who was now snickering. She lifted up her drink and poured it over her. The group gasped. Todrick looked shocked, but it was all an act, he knew it was bound to happen.

"MY HAIR! You're such a bitch Kirstie I swear!" Jenna stood up and chucked her drink at Kirstie. Avi's eyes widened he was about to do something and Todrick saw. Suddenly, Avi felt a painful shock in his wrist. Earlier in the day along with the earpiece given to him, he was also given a watch that could shock him. Todrick would shock him if he was doing or saying something he wasn't aloud to. Avi bit his lips in pain and slowly turned his eyes to Todrick who gave him a devilish smile. Kirstie stood up and reached for a slice of pie that was on Tyler's plate and slammed it on Jenna's head.

"Hey I was gonna eat that!" Tyler whined. Jenna responded by grabbing a knife and pointing it at her.

"Hey, hey, hey! Calm down!" Scott quickly stood up and went in between the two. "We're all trying to have a nice dinner here. Those poor cooks worked their asses of to prepare this meal and this is how you thank them? I think for the rest of the night Tyler you should swap seats with Jenna." Tyler's eyes shot open. He turned his head to Scott and mouthed 'why me?' Tyler eventually sat in between the girls and the meal continued. This time there was 10 times more tension in the room.

"Bitch..." Kirstie mumbled.

"Slut..." Jenna replied.

"Whore..."

"Tramp..."

"Hoe..."

"Hooker..."

"OKAY! Ummm, who's ready for dessert?" Todrick announced awkwardly. The group agreed and Todrick called over a maid who was standing in the corner. He whispered in her ear making sure no one heard what he was saying. "Remember to get the green cake, okay hunny?" The maid walked to the kitchen and grabbed a tray with 12 bowls containing cakes then set it on the table. She handed everyone a bowl.
