"Mommy?" I was caught off-guard hearing her voice.

"The birthday party are you really not inviting me?" she asked again.

"Uhmm.. Do you want to come? I assumed you don't want to have anything to do with us" I said, War is looking at me, smiled a little. Reassuring me that it's okay.

At that moment, Belle ran into me holding a piece of cucumber, giving to me. She's not a fan of cucumbers.

"Ahhhh" she said, try to put the slice to my mouth.

"No, princess. Eat your cucumber" she whined.

"It's good. See?" I took a bite. "Now Belle's turn" she took a bite but made a face making me snicker at her.

"Good job" I kissed her then she ran back to Nona. I heard coughing on my phone.

"Sorry, we're having dinner. You can go tomorrow if you promise to behave, no messing up the mood."

"I won't mess it up, I'll go there with Ploy. You didn't like cucumbers before as well.. try mixing yogurt, goat cheese and pinch of sugar make her dip the cucumber there. That's what our cook did before to make you eat it. Okay I'll drop now. See you tomorrow" she then dropped the call.

I felt a warmth spread within me. How my mother said that. Did she really come through? What made her realize this? Maybe dad talked to her. I don't know.

"How did it go?" War asked, continued eating.

"Mommy said she'll be there tomorrow. I hope she does not make a scene." I proceeded to taking a bite of the satay with peanut sauce, it's good, nutty.

We hurriedly went to bed tonight as we have a busy day tomorrow. Everything's good as the coordinator confirmed a week before that everything 100% complete. They're the same company we hired for the baby shower, so War's really comfortable talking to them.

I just got to know them now, as I was not really involved before. War was right, if I didn't attend before, I'll regret it. Good thing I listened to him.

The event is at 10:00 AM, it's just 8:00 AM but we're already in the venue. It's a function place and has a hotel so we're checking in early today.

There's not much for us to do, since all the coordination and arrangement is already covered. We just prepped Belle. We made sure she just had her nap before the event. We don't want a grumpy baby.

We met our old teams, War invited Namtarn, Love and Prim while I invited Yihwa, Mark, and Mick. They are all in one table a bit at the side near the knick-knacks.

We go to Becky and Freen's room. They have booked a 3days stay here for Belle's birthday then they'll be back to Switzerland.

"Mommy!!! Maeee!" Belle squealed at them. They have video called maybe once a week, so Belle knows who they are.

"Make her sleep, she'll be grumpy later if she does not take a nap" War said, as she passed her to them.  It was Freen who got her.

"I can make her sleep, easy!" Belle really like Freen. We left them there and we went to granddad's room.

The event started. The whole function room is filled with tables at the center, the quests are mostly grand dad's business partners, suppliers and other high-ranking employees. Then followed by some of War's friends, my siblings are also here and mommy also made an appearance.
