It is good to thank the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.

Like is says in the Bible, "It is good to thank the Lord," To thank the Lord That is one of many reasons why we pray, although I don't think that we thank God nearly as much as we should. You might say that you don't have enough time or you can't think of anything to thank Him for, but look around and I'm sure you'll find something to thank Him for.
The Bible also says that it is good for us to sing praises to His name! One of the main reasons we have church is so that we can praise God! With music, by studying His word -the bible- and by having it explained to us by the preacher.
God loves when we praise Him.
