Chapter 4

*Luke's POV*

I come back into the bedroom to find Sophie lying on her side, facing the wall, sleeping I think. I approach her and she moves. More like sobs actually. I sit on the bed.

"What's wrong Sophie?" I coo. She sniffles, but ignores me. "Speak to me Soph.." Still nothing. I'm starting to get frustrated now. I lean over her so I can see her face. Her eyes look red and puffy like she's been crying for hours. "Alright I'll leave you alone if you're going to be a whining little bitch..."

As soon as the words leave my lips, she gets up and shoves past me. He picks up an overnight bag and stuffs in some clothes. She walks out of our room.

I get up and follow after her. She walks out of the front door and just keeps walking.

"What do you think you're doing Sophie? It's dark and you're going to walk around in the streets? Where will you go?"

"Anywhere to get away from you, Luke."

"Too bad we're the only ones who'll take you," I spit.

"Who do you think you are? I'm not completely dependant on your family and I have other friends." She picks up the pace.

We're almost to the end of the road when I've had enough. I grab her hand and she spins to face me.

"Let me go," She says through gritted teeth. I shake my head.

"Let me go!!" She yells.

"Come back home," I say.

"Get your hands off me!!"

"What's going on here?"

We both turn to see a big burly rough looking man coming out of the house we were in front of.

"Look mate," He says. "Let the girl go. I don't want to see her in any trouble with your sort."

My sort? He must think I'm going to rape her or something. "She's my girlfriend. She's just being stupid," I explain.

"Please make him let me go!" Sophie says pleading. Obviously this guy believes her and not me because he's coming closer.

I let her hand go. "Thank you!" She says to the man.

"Well, Sophie, if something happens to you, it's not my fault." I turn and walk back to the house. I slam the door.

"What happened?" Jai asks. "Where's Sophie?"

"She ran off. I tried to stop her but a man got involved."

"And you let her get away?" Jai says, raising his voice slightly.

I shrug. "There was nothing I could do." Jai just shakes his head at me.

*Sophie's POV*

Tears streak down my face as I walk. I know where I am going. As I reach the house, I wipe my face. I take a deep breath and knock on Daniel's door.

"Hello?" He says as he opens the door. "Oh, it's you Soph." He invites me inside.

Daniel Sahyounie is another friend of the Brooks brothers. He's older than the twins but younger than Beau. He glances at my not quite healed left cheek.

"Can I stay here tonight Skip?" I ask, using his nickname and batting my lashes.

He laughs. "I suppose so. Why aren't you at home though?"

"Luke again. He is so insensitive sometimes." I say.

My phone buzzes in my pocket. It's Jai.

From: VaJaiJai

Sophie where are you? I'm getting worried. I think Luke's getting concerned as well. x

I text him back.

To: VaJaiJai

At least you care. I'm with Skip. Tell Luke that I'll come back when he's ready to apologise. x

*Luke's POV*

I sit by the door. "Please come home Sophie. Please," I whisper. I just want her back.

"She said she'd come back when you're ready to apologise," Jai says, appearing next to me. I sigh.

What's Sophie's favourite thing? I have to do something for her before she comes back. She loves it when we watch movies and I lie with her and hold her. No. That's not enough.

I text her.

To: Soph <3

Where are you? Please come home. I need you. I'm so sorry. I'll make it up to you somehow. x

I get a reply a few minutes later.

From: Soph <3

I'll come back in the morning. I'm with Skip. Don't worry about me.

I shove my phone in my pocket and start to run towards Daniel's house. When I reach his front door I hear moaning. Sexual moaning. How could they do this to me? So many thoughts are running through my head. Why would Sophie do this? Daniel is so going to get it!

I yank open the front door and follow the sound of the moans. "DANIEL SAHYOUNIE I'M GOING TO KILL YOU," I shout as I open his bedroom door.

"Shit," he says closing the Internet browser. "Why are you going to kill me?"

"Where's Sophie?" I asked, over the moon that she wasn't in bed with my best friend. Why the hell was the volume up so high? His parents mustn't be home.

"She's in the lounge, on the couch."

"Thanks Skip," I say. I enter the lounge and see Sophie and I sit with her. I put my arms around her and whisper in her ear how sorry I am.

"Please come home Soph."

She looks into my eyes. Her big blue-green eyes locked onto mine. I lean forward and kiss her.

We leave Skip's place and head back home. We're in the bedroom and I lift her up, her legs wrapping around my waist. I put my face close to hers so our foreheads are touching.

"I'm sorry," I whisper huskily. She kisses me deeply and I return the favour. I place her down on the bed, leaning over her, my legs either side of her waist. I start to make a move.

"Luke, stop," She says. I do as I'm told and look down at her oceanic eyes. "Please, not now."

I sigh and kiss her again before lying down behind her, spooning her. As we lie there, I think of an apology.

"I'll be right back!" I say, climbing out of bed. I have to find my guitar! I pick it up and stand beside the bed. A smile spreads across Sophie's face.

"Circles, we're going in circles,

Dizzy's all it makes us,

We know where it takes us we've been before

Closer, maybe looking closer

There's more to discover,

Find out what went wrong without blaming each other," I sing her favourite One Direction song to her.

The first time we fought, I asked her how to make it up to her. She said that if I sing Same Mistakes, she would forgive me, no matter what I've done.

*Sophie's POV*

My eyes mist as anything I had against my beautiful boyfriend slipped away. I cut him off with a kiss.

"You're so perfect," I tell him.

"Not as perfect as you. Do you forgive me?"

I nod. He turns off the light and climbs into bed with me. We lie there, facing each other, looking deeply into each other's eyes until we drift off to sleep.
