Danny and Lermanus had been together for a few months now, and they were deeply in love. They had been through a lot together, but they always managed to come out stronger on the other side.
One night, Danny had a nightmare. He woke up screaming, drenched in sweat. Lermanus woke up too, and he immediately wrapped his arms around Danny.
"It's okay," he whispered. "You're safe. I've got you."

After a while, Danny started to calm down. He pulled away from Lermanus and wiped his eyes.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice shaking. "I didn't mean to wake you up."
Lermanus smiled at him and said, "Don't worry about it. I'm just glad that you're okay."
They cuddled up together, and Lermanus started to tell Danny about his day. He talked about work, about his friends, and about his plans for the weekend.
Danny listened intently, his head resting on Lermanus's chest. He felt safe and loved.
As they lay there, Danny couldn't help but think about how much he loved Lermanus. He knew that he could trust him, that he could open up to him without fear of judgment.
Lermanus could sense that Danny was still feeling a little shaken up, so he started to hum a soft melody. Danny recognized it as one of his favorite songs, and he smiled.
Lermanus started to sing, his voice low and soothing. Danny closed his eyes and let the music wash over him.
