A surprising divulgence

The KoA travels back to Ardonia to find answers to their questions. But what they find isn't what they expected...

A few Hours Earlier (Also, note that this is one of the last few chapters before the ending. FEAR NOT as I will work on a THRID book! See y'all soon)

The KoA got word that a mysterious group was transferring weaponry within Ardonia. Ever since the five-year time jump the KoA hadn't been back. What changed? Would everything be the same or different with Michel in control?

As the team was packing up Ria noticed Senn tapping her shoulder, "Follow me," he whispered and she did. She followed him into his small shop where an Iron Spear hung, "Thought I'd give you an upgrade," he said handing her the spear.

Its enchanted glow shone bright, "You didn't have to Senn," Ria said, "It was the least I could do since I'm still recovering," Senn joked. He wanted to help wherever he could. He wanted to tell Ria about Thalleous and Griffen but worried that she might focus on that instead of the main target Michel.

"Hey, Captain we are ready," Grek said before leaving to join the others at the tunnel. Ria kissed Senn on the cheek and left to join the others. Senn blushed slightly and turned to face his blade leaning against the wall. It was a little dented and thought how about a new upgrade...

With the KoA
The team made their way down the roads stopping every few steps due to Deamos patrols. One patrol in particular caught Ria's attention, "Any word from the General?" one asked, "Nothing since he had a run-in with the Knights of Ardonia five years ago," the other respond.

"It's weird. Raphael has never once done something like this before. What changed?" the first one asked, "I'm not sure but Michel is pretty mad about the Council's failure and wants them found and killed," the second said. Ria and the other knights looked at each other with worry.

"So, do you think Raphel is in hiding or something?" the first wondered, "maybe? I'm sure he is regrouping and planning something big, and with the Nether out of the way he can focus more on the other kingdoms. Still a few refuse to bow to him," the second hissed.

"Did you hear that?" Ria whispered, "If a few of the kingdoms are not bowing maybe there is hope," Ria said, "Let's keep moving. We should be near Concord," Hubris said and they continue to move towards Oklandale, Concrod's capital city.

The streets were busy as bees. Ria and the Knights manage to avoid any deamos patrols and found an old abandoned house to stay in for the meantime, "I hate this," Grek moaned, "I've been itching for a fight," he groaned, "Who's here!" a voice shouts and they turn at the sound of a gun being loaded.

They turn to see someone holding a small rifle, "I'm not afraid to shoot so who are you pest," The voice hissed. From the sound of it, the person was male.
"Please don't shoot," Hubris said, "Who. Are. You," the male hissed again raising the rifle, "We are just looking for a place to lay low. We didn't know this was your home," Hubris explained.

The male lowered the gun some and walked out of the shadows revealing they were a Meif'wa male. He had black ears and tail, blondish hair with grey eyes. He had a few freckles on each cheek. He wore a black jacket with long dark pants with brown boots.

"This place ain't mine. I've just been here a few months now. And you what they say 'finders keepers loser weepers' so this place mine," he laughed, "now that begs the question, who are all of you," he asked with a flick of his tail.

"I'm Hubris Nestoris and we are the Knights of-" Hubris was cut off by the male, "Shut your trap," he hissed before telling them to get down. He peered through the window and two Deamos were walking by. They shrugged and left.

"You can't say something like that out loud. Keep your voice down. Don't you know anything," he hissed. He led them over toward the upper level.
He turned on a small lamp and sat down with a grunt. Ria noticed he winced when he used his right arm, "are you injured?" She asked.

"Nah, it's just a scratch it's fine. Now? You are in charge of this little group?" he asked. Ria stepped forward and the male looked impressed, "About time we had more females running things," he locked. He looked her up and down, "what's your name?" he asked, "I'm Ria Sendaris. Captain of the Knights of Ardonia" Ria explained.

"Names Blake. I was a soldier in the Tula Army during the Great War. But things are different. So, what brings you guys here? I'm sure you're aware that you are fugitives and wanted." Blake explained and they nodded. Blake sighed, "I haven't heard from Galleous in the last couple of years," Blake mumbled, "You knew Galleous?" Ria asked, "Of course. How do you think he knew a lot about what conspires around here outside his shop," Blake joked.

Just then a loud BANG was heard and they went outside only to see a group of Deamos with a male Voltairs at the lead. Ria knew those marking from the burning of her home. Tygren! That bastard! Ria's mind hissed.

"Well, who do we have here," Tygren laughed seeing the KoA, "Tygren! YOU'LL PAY FOR SENDSRIA!" Ria shouts and dashed forward! A battle began. And Ria and Tygren fought fiercely. Tygren fired at song and she dodged but didn't the deamos behind her and it knocked her towards a wall to which Tygren pinned her.

There Tygren stood over Ria, with a blade to his throat ready to kill him, "Any last words girl," Tygren grinned and raised his blade only for him to be knocked back.

"Leave them only Uncle, "Flame shouts standing in front of Ria holding his blade, "Your..." Ria's voice trailed off. One of her knights was the NEPHEW of her enemy!! Her blood boiled.

"Flame?" Ria asked getting up, and she faced him, "You-your Tygren's nephew!" she hissed, "I'm sorry I want to tell you but I saw how you hated Tygren so..." Flame's voice trailed off, "Hoesntly Flame," Tygren butts in, "I told you to stay at the outpost with your brothers!" Tygrrn hissed and Flame just eye-rolled, "I know Uncle but you know me. I never listen," Flame joked.

Suddenly Ria punched Flame square in the jaw, "You lied! Not just to the knights but to me as well!" Ria shouts. (The Deamos in the background🧍🏻‍♀️🍿) Flame felt his heart sink. He wanted to tell her but he knew she'd act this way.

"Ria I-" "Leave Flame. I can't have someone I don't trust on my team," She hissed raising her spear to his chest. Flame's eyes watered though he forced himself not to cry and ran off. When Ria went to face Tygren and the deamos...they were gone...
