Cheryl sat on her bed after doing her nighttime skincare. She saw her phone screen light up and picked it up to see who it was.

Was what read on her phone screen. Toni Topaz. What a perfect name. Cheryl had never done anything like that before but she didn't regret it.

Yes thanks, I'm assuming you did too?

She typed back, awaiting an answer. The bubbles appeared signalising that Toni was typing.

Cheryl blushed slightly at the "x".

After a night full of texting eachother they both felt like they had known eachother for ages. Toni told Cheryl about the southside serpents, her biker gang, and Cheryl told Toni all about the river vixins, her cheerleading squad.

Both had very different backgrounds and upbringings clearly, but Toni found this interesting and it only left her wanting to know more..

"You did what??" Veronica practically screamed.

"Shhh V, don't let the whole of Pop's hear you." Cheryl said, looking around to see did anyone hear.

Cheryl had just filled her best friend, Veronica Lodge, in on what happened the previous night.

"Does Kevin know?"

"No way! He was too busy chatting up some other guy to even notice." Cheryl said.

"Damn Cher. I didn't see you as that type of person" Veronica said laughing.

Kevin walked in and a smile grew on his face when he saw them.

"Don't mention anything.." Cheryl said quietly to Veronica, as Kevin ran over to them.

"Hey guys!" Kevin said. Cheryl moved up and Kevin sat beside her in the booth.

"So Kev.. how did it go with the guy last night?" Cheryl said elbowing him teasingly.

"Oooo what guy?" Veronica said smiling. "Did you get a number?"

"Yes, yes. I infact did get a number." Kevin said proudly as Veronica and Cheryl squealed excitedly. "He's a serpent and he plays basket ball!" Kevin said, a smile growing on his face as he talked about him.

"He wants to hang out and bring friends.. you guys have to come!" Kevin said.

"Of course Kev" Veronica said excited to meet Kevin's new boy.
"We'll be there" Cheryl said happily.

"Okay great! Is Friday okay?" Kevin said typing on his phone.

"Yes Fridays perfect" Cheryl said smiling widely.

"Oh I actually can't Friday.. I'm grounded all weekend" Veronica said rolling her eyes. "You could bring Betty though! She has a thing with that other serpent.. what's his name.. tincan or something" Veronica said and Kevin laughed to himself.

"You mean Jughead? That is true.. I'll text her now!" Kevin said taking back out his phone and typing away grinning.

It had been a long time since Kevin was that happy and Cheryl was glad to see him so happy. He deserved it. She just hoped this guy he met was good for him and was as excited to be talking to him...
