Chapter 21 - Damon

Nik and I both turned to Elena and smirked, "looks like you have made a deal with the devil" I said.

She frowned as I walked over to Damon and smirked, "you're free" I said.

Damon shook his head as turned to me, "thank you" he said.

I nodded as he walked over to our brother, "not all will be forgiven, you still did what you did" he explained.

Stefan opened his mouth as Damon sighed, "but you can come back home" he said.

I watched as Elena smirked and turned to me, "you can leave" she said.

I growled as Finn walked over to me, "she isn't worth it, lets just leave" he said.

I sighed as I looked at Damon and he sighed, "bye" he said.

I walked out of the boarding house as Alaric caught up with us and he sighed as he put his hand on my arms, "are you okay?" he asked.

I laughed, "of course" I said.

He sighed as Nik linked his hand with mine and gently pulled me to start walking again, "it's going to be okay love" he said.

I nodded as we got into the car and Nik sighed as he pulled away from the boarding house, "I hate this" I said.

He smiled as he linked his hand with mine, "Damon said he would check in each night" he explained.

I sighed, "I know but we both know that Elena will get cocky" I said.

He laughed, "and if she does or it gets too much he is going to leave" he said.

I sighed as I turned around and noticed that Caroline was with us and she was cuddled into Kol who was running his hand through her hair.

She smiled as she looked at me, "he will be safe there with the wards in place" she said.

I sighed as I turned back around, "I still worry as Elena and Bonnie are going to do something stupid" I said.

She sighed, "they will but they don't have everything in their corner anymore" she explained.

I frowned, "they have a bitten idiot who does nothing but lie and not to mention a witch that is hellbent on killing you all" she explained.

I sighed as she was right and Nik drove us home.

Damon's POV

I watched as my family left and I sighed as Elena walked over to me and linked her hand with mine, "at least we can be together now" she said.

I pulled my hand out of hers and she frowned, "I thought you were with Stefan?" I said.

She frowned as Stefan scoffed, "nope, she made it clear she doesn't want to be with me" he said.

I kept the smirk off my face as Stefan was a little upset, I knew she was the only thing he wanted.

But I knew sooner or later she was going to be married to this idiot and I sighed as I turned to Elena, "well I am not dating you Elena" I said.

She growled, "why not, your bitch of a sister is not a problem anymore" she said.

I turned to her and laughed, "because I need to get my own head straight Elena, this has nothing to do with Elizabeth" I said.

She scoffed as I smirked, "but that isn't going to happen if I am thinking about you all the time" I explained.

She opened her mouth as Alaric walked back into the house and sighed, "what" I asked.

He looked at me and sighed, "I really didn't think she would compel you to get you on her side" he said.

I turned to him and sighed, "look I don't want to speak about my twin" I said.
