Chapter 9 - Please like that is going to work...

Nik pulled me closer as his mother walked over to us and sat down, "mother it is nice to see you" Finn said.

She smiled as she looked at him, "I will admit that I was shocked to have an invite to come and eat with you" she said.

I smiled as I leaned into my husband, "Well we believe that we were a little bit quick to judge" i said.

She smiled as Elijah nodded, "and being that you have left us alone for the month and a half has helped mother" he explained.

She smiled, "I said I only wanted to be a family," she said.

I smiled as what she didn't know was that we had a spy in the little gang my idiot brother had and he told us all that happened when Esther returned to Elena's home.

I watched as she turned to Kol, "are you finally going to be happy I am back" she asked.

He smiled as I kicked him under the table as he sighed, "it will be nice to try and get along again" he said.

She smiled as she turned to Bekah, "my darling daughter" she said.

Bekah smiled as she turned to her, "I believe my sister said she would give you a chance" she said.

Esther frowned, "Rebekah" she said.

Bekah sighed, "please don't screw this up?" she asked.

Esther frowned as Bekah got up, "I cannot be forced to choose" she explained.

Esther now really did look confused as Nik frowned, I felt as he moved, "Rebekah" he said.

She smiled as she looked at Esther, "if you make me choose, you will be sorely disappointed" she explained.

Esther nodded as she sighed and turned to us, "like I said before, I just wish to be a family and make up for missed time" she said.

We all smiled as Nik turned to her, "well we are willing to try this again" he explained.

She nodded, "on that note, we have all spoken and decided that you can live in the manor with us" he said.

I smiled as Esther looked shocked at this, "are you sure my son?" she asked.

He nodded, "of course, us mikaelson's should all be under the same roof" he said.

I smiled as she got up, "then maybe we can have dinner as a family" she said.

Nik nodded as he looked at me, "are you still happy to have her under the same roof as us" he asked.

I nodded, "of course darling, the woman is family" I said.

He nodded as he turned to Esther and smiled,  "does this family dinner include my wife?" he asked.

She smiled, "of course Niklaus, she is after all my daughter in law" she said.

I smiled as I turned to Damon, "you're invited to" I said.

He smiled as he turned to the others and my older brothers nodded, "you know we have forgiven him" Finn said.

I grinned as I nodded and noticed that Esther frowned but put on a smile when she saw me looking, Damon turned to me and smirked, "it
would be my pleasure then sister" he said.

Kol snorted as he got up, "don't play posh now Damon" he said.

Damon smirked as he turned to Kol, "Run" he said.

Kol laughed as he got up and ran out of the grill with Damon chasing him and I smirked as I noticed that a certain blonde girl was staring
after my brothers.
