"So, How's your training going?" Jamie asks me as he licks his strawberry ice cream.

"Good, I have control of my powers, Bruce runs tests every so, to see if they're growning. And as for my fighting skills, Natasha showed me some moves." I say as i take a lick of my chocolate ice cream.

"I knew i recognized that kick." He shakes his head and chuckles.

"What about you? How are you doing?" I ask nervously.

"I'm trying to be better, I uh apologized to Matthew, He's the uh AA counselor. And i admitted to step 1, I went back to anger management and made amends as well. And i opened up to Dr. Raynor and i've been talking to her about my nightmares. Which to be honest with you, I should have done it a long time ago, I feel i have one less burden." He breathes out.

He holds my hand when he speaks again,

"Thank you, For giving me a wake up call." He smiles and i give him a nod.

"You're welcome. I'm really am glad you're following through Jamie but 6 weeks is too soon. I need to see more time." I breathe out and he looks down for a moment before nodding.

"I know." He sighs.

"I'll give you as much as you need." He smiles.

We talk about other things as we finish our ice cream. I haven't seen him this unhinged in a long time. It felt nice, He's slowly going back to his old self again. I just hope this time is not false hope.

2 Months Later,

"I'm not waking up this early for no fucking reason." I huff to myself, as i'm in the gym by myself.

It's 6:45 A.M and Punctual Steve is not here, Wands is not here either, Natasha is excused because she's on a mission in germany.

So where are they?

We have training but my trainers are lagging.

I huff like a 3 year old and i head upstairs and i knock at Steve's door.

A sleepy Steve opens the door as he yawns.

He didn't even go for his morning run?

"Wow pigs must be flying, If i'm awake before you." I smirk sarcastically.

"Morning Holly, What do you want?" He groans as he leans in his doorway.

"Did you forget we have training Rogers? I've been waiting in the gym for 45 minutes!" I frown.

"Sorry i meant to text you last night, I'm taking a day off, consider it you're day off too."

Did i just hear him correctly?

He never takes days off, not even for appointments.

I look at him like he's gone insane but then a girl's voice answers all my questions.

"Cupcake, come back to bed, It's still night time." Madisynn says groggily.

Steve blushes from embarrassment to his nickname, As for i, start to smirk like the Grinch.

"Fine, You take the day off, I'll ask Wands to train me." I tell him and he gives me a thankful nod.
