Harper knew how she wasn't allowed to be around Adam. But it was hard. Especially as she knew part of her missed her mum.

She knew how Adam wasn't the person he made out to be. And she knew it was all because of her that things had escalated between her and her mum.

Harper wanted nothing more than to be close with her mum again. But until Adam had gone, she couldn't. She couldn't risk getting hurt. Not after all she had been through.

All she knew was things were a mess. And she didn't know what more she could do.

Morning came and so Harper walked downstairs. She saw her sister and smiled. "Morning."

"Hey. You sleep okay?" Charlee asked as she looked to her.

Harper nodded. "Yeah. I miss mum. But she doesn't miss me. I just think she's too focused on Adam. And that hurts me. But I have to move on and forget about it," she said.

Charlee smiled. She took her hand. "Listen. It's gonna be okay. I know it will," she told her.

"I don't know. I miss her. And I want nothing more than for her to get rid of Adam and then just we can be a normal family. Max and Esmè too."

Charlee smiled. "Max thinks a lot of you. He says you're the type of person he would love to have raise Esmè if anything happened to us."

Harper grinned. "Me?"

"Yes you. You're an amazing auntie to her. And I'm proud of you. You are the one person I'd trust with her."

Harper nodded and smiled. She looked to her. "I love you Charl."

"Love you too babes."

Harper went into school. She smiled as she saw Tom. She looked to him and walked over. "Hi."

"Hey. You okay? You're too cheerful for coming into this place," Tom said.

Harper nodded. She smiled. "I'm good. Max and Charlee think I'd be good to look after Esmè if anything happens to them."

"You would. I've seen how protective of her you are. And it's good to see," Tom said as he kissed her cheek.

Harper grinned. She looked to him. "Well I think I'm a good auntie. I'm one of the best," she joked.

Tom smiled. He pulled her to one side. "It's so good to see you with a smile on your face. I love it," he said.

"Aww."

Harper was sitting in the common room. She looked up as Rachel walked in. Adam behind her. Harper sighed. "Please leave me alone."

"What? We haven't said anything."

Harper rolled her eyes. She looked to her. "I'm not in the mood. I'm having a good day. And I'm going to keep having my good day," she told her as she stood up and walked off.

Rachel knew she needed to make her daughter see sense. She just didn't know how to go about it. Especially when Adam was with her every time she tried to speak.

***
Harper walked into the living room. She saw Charlee and smiled. "Mum won't leave me alone. She's always with Adam," she said.

Charlee looked to her and smiled. She pulled her close and sighed. "Whatever happens, you've always got me."

Harper smiled and nodded. But she didn't know how it was all about to come spiralling down around her.
