Sebastian's POV

"This is your room Alpha" I said pointing to the door of guest room that was allocated to Rishi.

He said nothing just pushed past the door and scanned the room. His eyes darted systematically across the room as his jaw tensed. His body was alert right now, even an ant moving in this room couldn't have escaped his senses.

Not that there were any ants in this room.

I am very much the interior decorator of the castle. I like things clean so I leave no stone unturned. I took a shot and thought he would appreciate a warm bath to loosen the tension I felt in his body as he was beating me up so I had laid out a bathrobe on the bed for him. His muscles didn't just look good they packed heat as well.

He walked up to the window and looked out as I made myself comfortable on the bed. I don't know why but the chance to get under his skin was unbearable.

"So that was awkwa -"

"Mind your own business."

Nalini's POV

"Umm so you're mated to Dominic, the Mad king?"

Jai gave a small nod and sighed rubbing his temples.

"And you tried to kill him" I said turning my husband who just stood behind the kitchen counter with a cup of tea in his hand grimacing at the obsidian slab in front of him.

"And now Rishi is held hostage." I said looking at my hands that I was rubbing together for warmth as a chill went down my spine.

Hold on son. We'll get you back.

"Ok I have some things to say" Jai said as he scratched his head and sat straighter in his seat. He looked enervated. I just wanted to stuff him full of food and tuck him into bed. It's funny how he's now found a mate and yet he still feels like a child to me.

What's even funnier is that I thought him finding his mate would be a happy moment. Jai would embrace him, I'll meet him it'll be a joyous occasion. Seeing your children flourish and find their soulmates feels so rewarding. My babies leaving the nest building their own. That I'll be comfortable knowing there's someone looking out for them. But now, I felt an immense sadness. I felt stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Send one of my sons to live with an angry unstable mate or let my other son die.

Goddess why would you put a mother through this?

"I've decided that I'll go stay with him. He's my mate." Jai declared.

"Absolutely not. He lost all rights to matehood when he forcefully marked you" Abhijeet raged, slamming his hand on the table.

"So let Rishi die then?" Jai retorted.

Silence hung heavy in the room as the weight of those words sunk in again.

"Rishi will find a way to escape. You will go to Grandpa's in Udaipur." Abhijeet ordered as he picked up his phone and started dialling.

"Are you serious? Dad Rishi will die!"

"You're not going to him and that's final"
