Chapter 7:

Barcode woke up the next morning with a huger headache, he was confused and he was angry. He looked at Jeff besides him on the bed and noticed that even though Jeff was still asleep he had a protective hand over Barcodes waist. Barcode leaned closer to Jeff face and kissed him on the cheek.

"I will be back" He whispered to the sleeping Jeff. HE got off the bed took a hoodie from Jeff's cupboard and then wrote him a note. He took one more glance at Jeff and then left the house while the house was dead silent from everyone still sleeping.

Barcode took a cab to his home, as when he entered it was silent as well. Everyone must have been sleeping as well. He took a look around and went to the back of his house where a door led to where he was going... the basement. HE opened the door and walked down the nostalgic stairs and found the exact place where him and his mother had been kept for the 6 years of his life.

Barcode went in deeper and saw the bedroom where he grew up in, and the bars that held him their. He held onto the bars without crying but felt a huge headache. He closed his eyes in pain and dropped to the ground remembering his innocent childhood, and the pain in his mothers eyes.

HE remembered the amount of love his mother had given him, and the pain she had gone through in this cell like bedroom. He can remember the screams that young Barcode never understood, he could feel the pain his mother injured for him. And when she finally couldn't take it anymore, she died. The only reason why his mother lasted and didn't kill herself off was because of barcode. She had to stay to protect her child, and couldn't go for her husband who died by Ex Piya.

"Mother must've been happy to reunite with father" Barcode thought. "Father must've been a good man" Barcode remembered the stories his mother told him about his biological father. Barcode thought his father was a hero, a hero who died for his wife and unborn child.

Barcode felt a hand on his shoulder and when he opened his eyes, he pushed the person to the ground. The person grunted and when he saw who it was, he glared at them. "Barcode" Ex Piya said.

"Ex Piya" Barcode said strongly as he stood tall in front of him.

"Ex Piya?" He said in a strange way. "What are you doing here? Why haven't you returned home"

"Why should I! You are not my father" Barcode said and Ex Piya grunted.

"What is wrong with you, stop behaving like a fool and get out of here now!" Ex Piya commanded but Barcode didn't move. "Did you not hear me!"

"Oh, I heard you, I am just not going to abide by your rules anymore" Barcode said and then gulped for what he was about to say next. "Why.... Why did you do this to my mother"

"What" Ex Piya was speechless, after a while he chuckled. "Because she didn't listen to me"

"That doesn't make sense" Barcode frowned in anger.

"Barcode, if I do not get what I want, if no one listens to me!!! I WILL MAKE THEIR LIVES MISERABLE AND THEY WILL BE MINE!!!!" Ex Piya yelled. "I don't know why you looked shocked, I have been telling you this all your life"

"If you love someone you don't do this to them" Barcode said and Ex Piya still had a smug look on his face.

"Hmm.... You remind me of your mother now.... Just like you she was a fool!!!! An idiot who didn't know what was good for her" Ex Piya laughed.

"My mother was strong" Barcode said. "She fought day and night"

"IF she was so strong, why did she die? IF she was so strong, why did she give up on you and throw her life away" Ex Piya looked barcode dead in the eye.
