New York New Years

*December 31st - New years eve*
In the very little time you have since coming home from New Jersey you managed to unpack your suitcase and repack it ready for your new years trip to New York with Savage. It's going to be his first ever time in New York and considering it is one of your favourite cities and you've lived there for pretty much your whole adult life there is no better person to be his tour guide than you. The two of you are going to be staying with your bestfriend of course. It's going to be great he's going to get to meet some of your greatest friends and experience a whole new city and New years style
The two of you wake up a little later than y/b as you two are still jet lagged from New Jersey but she doesn't really care New Year's Eve you two wouldn't really do much during the day anyway, maybe grab a coffee and go for a walk but that was very much still doable once you sleepy heads have caught up on your sleep
You wake up before Savage which seems to surprise you considering he is very eager to get up and explore all sorts of length of the city but at the same time he did stream last night and stay up later then you'd planned but it doesn't matter that much, you and y/b get more time to catch up since you haven't had the chance to talk in a couple weeks now
You: Good morning
Y/b: Finally one of you is up
You: Sorry it was a long flight last night and we haven't really adjusted from New Jersey yet
Y/b: Oh it's okay I was joking, you know we don't really do anything New years eve day
You: I know
Y/b: How was New Jersey though, anyone lose a head
You: No everyone is intact because it was a great trip everyone got along and had a wonderful time
Y/b: Really?
You: Yeah, why do you sound surprised?
Y/b: I don't know I feel like Savage has a very particular personality it's not necessarily something I would imagine extended family being the warmest to
You: No he's completely different around different people especially my grandma they were so cute
Y/b: Your grandma likes to have some fun of her own though, doesn't she
You: Yes she does get into a little bit of trouble at time but they were still really cute together
Y/b: I guess my next question is, what was it like being back since what happened with you know weird
You: I mean it was obviously incredibly weird cause we would have organised to go home together and spend time with our families but it wasn't as bad as I had made it out to be in my head
Y/b: I've told you multiple times before to get out of your head, you never listen
You: I know I actually went and laid flowers for him with the boys
Y/b: Really!
You: Yep and then we took the left over for his parents
Y/b: Oh so you saw them too
You: Yeah
Y/b: How was it? How are they?
You: I didn't really get to talk to them but they seem good, I told them what I did and informed them that I plan to come back more consistently and visit him to do the same thing, make sure he still looks as gorgeous as he did when still breathing
Y/b: You have so many great plan for your future, how does your brain come up with them?
You: I don't know you tell me
Y/b: Hey do you maybe want to go get some coffee
You: Depends where?
Y/b: There is a new philz coffee just a short walk from here
You: Once Savage gets up that can be his first adventure of New York, going to get philz coffee
Y/b: Has he never visited before?
You: Apparently not
Y/b: And hes dating you wow
You: I know I've been assigned the role of tour guide so I have a lot ahead of me this weekend
Y/b: How long are you guys staying again
You: 4 nights
Y/b: Oh gosh you do have a lot ahead of you
You: I actually would have thought he already would have been up ready to explore
Y/b: Take advantage of it and go have a nice shower
You: That doesn't sound like a bad idea
Y/b: Hopefully he will be up once you get out
You: Yes so we can go to Philz
Y/b: Yep
You: I guess I'll be leaving you alone then
Y/b: Oh I don't really care, you don't think Savage would mind if I turn the tv on though
You: No trust me if he wants to sleep he'll sleep
Y/b: Okay I just didn't want to be annoying and wake him up
You: Even if you do who cares, it's your apartment your free to do whatever you want
Y/b: I guess you're not wrong
You: I never am, anyway I'm going to go have my shower
Y/b: Enjoy
You: Will do
You leave y/b alone once again, while you go have a shower in hopes that maybe the sound of the water running would wake up Savage so that by the time you have come out of the bathroom all squeaky clean he will be sitting ready to go for a walk
