Levi runs down to the dungeons while the Cadets head towards the castle.
One after another, humanities strongest takes down guard after guard. He was not scared. Why should he be? They should be scared for themselfes of what is to come if Historia find out they even touched you.

"Get in." The officer says pushing you in the cell while you swiftly glide past him and steal a key from him.

You sit in your chamber now. Alone. No idea as to what is happening or whatever will happen. You trusted Levi and you knew that he never breaks his promises. The look he gave you while giving you his promise still sends shivers down your spine. He was always there to save you. Although...todays Situation is a bit more serious. Even though for him saving you from that titan on one of your latest missions was the most serious he has been. So what can a few guards and the Military Police possibly do to scare him?

Nothing.

You're train of thought is paused when you hear a guard falling down. Your Heart skips ten beats as you see your one and only.

"Ackerman!" You whisper-shout at him. He comes running up to your cell. He was clearly out of breath from knocking down several guards to get to you. "Thought we would be on first name basis after this, brat?" He scoffs. "What happened Levi?" You reach one hand out and cup his cheek and he kisses it. "I kept my promise."

You hand him the key you stole from a guard earlier. "Didn't you trust, that I'll come?" He asks wondering why you stole the key to make your escape.

"Ofcourse, always need to be prepared though. Captain." you wink at him while he opens the cell and takes your hand. „Wait, Levi" you stop in your tracks and look into his grey eyes and the candles illuminate them so. He was the one for you and the secret you hid for the past years is warning to spill out.

A Confession has been due.

"What is it!, i dont know if this is the time." He wants to get you somewhere safe before more of the guards come running down. "Are you hurt?" He thinks to himself and stands there just looking at you, searching for an answer in your face. This is serious. You're nervous and it seems like you're not really nervous about fleeing but rather something else. Oh, oh. It can't be right? Does she also-? No. No, right?

"I love you." You finally say.

"I've loved you ever since we've been in the underground but I've always tried to supress it because i thought you didn't feel the same. But when we're together i have always felt the best. Your mere presence is the essence of my day. I wish to be never separated from you. And I'll fight to never leave your side whether it's in battle or when we're just enjoying a calm life together."

Levi's eyes were full of hope and love after hearing your confession. Someone else might think the look in his eyes is weirded out until he finally smiled. But you know him. You have known him. He has never been able to express himself well after needing to suppress his emotions for so long.

Your words lifted the curse off his heart and soul. The more you talked, the more shackles started to loosen from his heart.

He has also always loved you. How couldn't he have?

You were the one that he protected while in the underground.

You were the one that always defended him in every matter, wether in his presence or not.

You were the one that always laughed at his not so funny jokes, not out of pity but because your heart and mind were made to be the only one that get affected by his jokes.

You were the one that held him in your arms with his head above your chest. Your heart being the one that comforted him in every affair.

You were the only one that did not see him as a titan killing machine. He was not Captain Ackerman, not the cold hearted Survey Corps Veteran he wasn't Levi Ackerman the rudest and strictest section commander.

Although he was. Only you understood this and you always wondered why no one could see this man for who he is.

Yes, he is Captain Ackerman. He is the one that worked himself up from the undergrounds to be the best soldier the world has ever seen.

He is the strictest Section commander because he wanted his Cadets to strive for the best.

He wanted to see them live because they have become his Cadets. His Squad. His Children?

Is it really that bad?

No and if you were the only one that sees that then you will also be the one that shows the world his beauty and the beauty of his character.
