Chapter 27: Cleveland vs Orochi

Orochi's Hanger, Siren Base

Cleveland POV

I continue to dodge his attack, but I can't hurt Nemo while fighting Orochi. He is mocking me for holding back my attack which I need to buy a little time for some support if possible, but I doubt everyone will show up due to a lot of wounds in the medical area so I'm doing this by myself.

Orochi: "Come on Cruiser; you can do better than that."

He decide to hold his fire and decide to go hand to hand which means he thinks I can't defend myself if I'm stuck on his ship so I accept his challenge and we decide to do this hand to hand combat; however he is winning the fight which cause me to be cover in blood all over the place.

Cleveland(tired): "This isn't looking good for me."

Orochi(disappointment): "How disappointed that they send someone so weak against me."

I can't move and he barely broke a sweat; however looks like he is about to leave the pen so he can wreck havoc against the main fleet of Azur Lane by using his new ship, but I can't give up now otherwise I won't save Nemo and the main fleet will be endanger if he gets out. I stand up, but my body start falling down until I got caught by someone.

???: "You did great Cleveland; we can handle this."

I look behind me and it was Gettysburg and Akagi who arrive to help me out.

Gettysburg: "You need some rest and beside he can't go anywhere with his engines frozen."

Orochi(confuse): "What do you meant by that?"

He try to turn his engines on, but for some reason he can't move.

Gettysburg: "I frozen your engine Orochi and now you can't get out."

Orochi(angry): "DAMN YOU GETTYSBURG!"

Gettysburg: "Can't let you go hurt my older sisters and my wife's sister now can I."

He pull his wolf mask to his face and cover in ice while Akagi pull out her paper plane which Orochi mock them.

Orochi(mock): "You think you guys can send your planes in here; we're inside a building stupid."

He is mocking Gettysburg and Akagi, but looks like they a plan in mind so I decide to get out of the ship before they going to do something.

Gettysburg POV

He is mocking us that we can't launch our planes inside a building, but one thing he didn't know that my power wasn't to launch planes, but to use my AA guns equip with ice bullets while Akagi is using her flame paper plane to distract him from my real objective is to freeze him into place. She threw her paper plane right at him which he dodge, but that was the plan the entire time.

Orochi(mock): "Is that the best you can do?"

However; he didn't notice that his leg was frozen because he was focus on Akagi then me that he didn't know until he try to move and look down.

Orochi(confuse): "Why can't I move?(Look down) WHY IS MY LEG FROZEN?"

Gettysburg: "You thought that we launch planes in here, but we can use our AA guns and my AA guns are made of ice bullets so expect a nice cold winter once we're done here."

He got angry and try to destroy his leg by aiming his flak gun into his leg which shock us that he would go that extreme level to escape from my ice prison, but he has determine to end Humanity. The fight starts with me firing my AA rounds at him which he dodge and try his best to not be frozen again, but he is going to have difficult because he got only one leg left, but he didn't avoid Akagi who flew a flame plane at him which cause him to burn.

Orochi(pain): "AAAAAAAH!"

Akagi(happy): "That will you get for mocking my precious Gettysburg."

He was on fire and it give me a chance to use my ice powers which cause his body turning into ice statue, but looks like he got a final trick on his sleeve.

Orochi(pain): "You think that I will go down without having a final say."

He is holding a trigger device and push it.

Outskirts of the Sub-Pen

Cleveland POV

I was about to leave the base and unite with the main fleet until I can hear a explosion behind which the Sub-Pen blew up into nothing which I was worry about Nemo and the others who is still in the hanger.

Cleveland(worry): "I hope that you guys manage to save Nemo."

I can see a couple of figures which was Akagi and Gettysburg, but I don't see Nemo anywhere so I'm start to get worry until I saw a wisdom cube on Gettysburg's hand. They approach me and want me to carry the wisdom cube.

Gettysburg: "We didn't save his body, but we did recover the wisdom cube."

Cleveland: "What happen?"

Flashback to the Siren Sub-Pen

Gettysburg POV

Before he push the trigger device I almost frozen it which will slow the device enough to recover the wisdom cube from the body and he can't escape due to the ice trap he is in.

Orochi(shock): "I can't move and the bombs isn't doing anything."

Gettysburg: "For now until the bomb sense the device; I only slow it down."

I rip into his chest and grab the wisdom cube with is wired to the bomb so I disconnect the bomb and put it back in before I order Akagi to retreat. We both head outside of the Sub-Pen before it explodes into million pieces.

Akagi: "Why we didn't save his body?"

Gettysburg: "Because Orochi will continue to be revive as long his spirit remains in the body so it is best to remove the wisdom cube and revive the Sub that way he won't be control the Orochi anymore."

Akagi: "You thought the bomb would blow up later than sooner."

Gettysburg: "The bomb was slow to react to the trigger due to the parts are frozen. If I hadn't use it than we both  would be dead or at least the wisdom cube won't survive the blast."

Cleveland POV

I was holding Nemo's wisdom cube crying that we won't able to save him from Orochi's clutches, but Gettysburg told me we can still revive him if we hand it over to Isaac.
