Chapter 16: New Pet

Nemo's Room, Eagle Union Dorm

It was couple of days after the Orochi Incident and we push the Sirens away which they lost a lost of ships that they are using and everything has turned back to normal, but for some reason I'm keep having nightmares that Orochi is still around which I thought that we destroyed him during that battle. It is always the same nightmare like before; the destruction of Azur Lane, death of Cleveland, and I was in the center of the bloodbath with Siren eyes staring at me with a laugh coming from him along with other Sirens. I wake up and I'm in my bedroom as always which means another day in the office. I got up and dress up before having breakfast which is potatoes and eggs with bacon. I make some couple of eggs and once my breakfast is done; I go to my mailbox to get the newspaper to see what is going on in the world while eating my breakfast. I look at the newspaper while eating breakfast and notice couple of things about the Crimson Axis has rejoined Azur Lane and the destruction of Orochi which brought victory to Azur Lane against the Sirens, but I have this strange feeling that this isn't the last we see him. I continue to eat and notice that it is lonely in my dorm room since I'm the only U-Boat in the Eagle Union which I understand since everyone is in their respective dorm room along with their ship class, but it is very lonely in here.

Nemo(thought): "I better head out and see what we're going to do today."

I head out after having breakfast and greet the girls who is talking at the main entrance before heading to the sub-pen where my U-Boat is storage. Today is going to be check if my U-Boat have any side effects from the control from Orochi.

Sub-Pen, Azur Lane

I head to the Sub-Pen to find my U-Boat still dock there, but I notice some other U-Boats are still around; however they keep their distance away from me with a glare staring at me, but I ignore them. I head to my U-Boat with writing words on it like "Curse U-Boat" or "Traitor" on it. I bet the other Iron Blood shipgirls wrote it because I joined Eagle Union or a useless U-Boat that get everybody killed from unknown reason which I don't mind at all. I inspect my U-Boat to see that everything is in order which it did. I got out of my U-Boat and notice a Meowfficer wearing a Iron Blood uniform who is staring at my ship.

Nemo: "Hallo kleines Katzchen. What brings you down here?"

I grab the Meowfficer who is purring like crazy and I can hear his stomach growling all the sudden which means he is hungry.

Nemo: "Hungrig? How about I give you something to eat."

Cafeteria, Eagle Union Dorm

After that I head to the cafeteria so I can feed this little fellow and notice Nevada is in the kitchen which I greet her.

Nemo: "Hallo; Miss Nevada"

Nevada: "Hello there Nemo and who is that?"

Nemo: "This little fellow was staring at my U-Boat at he Sub-Pen and he is hungry so I came here to feed him if you don't mind that is."

Nevada: "No problem; I was about to finish things off here and heading out. See ya."

Nemo: "Vielen Dank und bis spater."

She left while I try to find food for him which I decide to make him something easy like egg and bacon.

Nemo: "Los geht's"

He was start to eat which make him super happy that he has finally have something to eat and request more if possible which I did and it was enjoyable for someone to eating my food, but that was the easy samples and give him my most creation food known as Apfelkuchen or Apple Cake as dessert which took me hours to make, but I know my recipe and once that is done and hand him the Apple Cake; he eat it. I can see some shine from him after eating it which means it was a success; however the smell draw Laffey into the room with her nose sniffing around.

Laffey(tired): "Smell something good."

Nemo: "Hallo Laffey and I just made Apfelkuchen for this Meowifficer... Do you want some?"

She nod which I head back to the kitchen and make another Apfelkuchen for her which again took hours again, but she was patience for it since this does need to done this right. After that was done and hand it over to her; she start to eat it with a smile on her face.

Laffey(happy): "Taste great! Is this from Iron Blood?"

Nemo: "Ja; since I'm still a U-Boat I need to enjoy some from my birthplace."

Laffey: "Are you sad that your here and not Iron Blood?"

Nemo: "Nein; it was thanks to your group that I was able to accept myself and support you despite been enemies. Iron Blood still see me as a traitor for working with their enemy, but it is ok because you accept of who I am."

She give me a thumbs up while eating my Apfelkuchen and once she is done.... She went back to sleep which I grab her and take her to one of the soft couch that was sitting by the living area and give her a blanket so she can sleep comfortable and notice Cleveland arrive with her sisters staring at Laffey which I tell them to be quiet since Laffey is tired.

Cleveland: "Always sleeping."

Nemo: "Ja; she just finish eating my Apple Cake that I make for this Meowifficer."

There was a Meowifficer laying on my lap sleeping which I toke him to my dorm room with Cleveland following me. I put him on my couch while Cleveland exploring my room with a smile on her face.

Cleveland: Nice place you got here. I fear that your going to the Iron Blood for been a U-Boat."

Nemo: "Nein; my loyalty belongs to Eagle Union."

We continue to talk and enjoy each other company.
