A/N: I'm a firm believer in the fact that what makes happy endings so compelling, is the fact that they always come after angst, not before angst.
Happiness before the storm is boring, but happiness after the storm is rewarding.
Another words: I'm a sucker for angst.

Uh, so lets just say. . . You can expect a lot of Angst, so be prepared, I guess.

When Reki finally got home, he was surprised to find that he was the one to arrive back to a completely empty house. Which begun to worry him immensely, because there was no way in hell his mother would ever keep her daughters out this late. Especially since their bedtime had not only been several hours ago, but it had also been yesterday, considering it was now past 2 in the morning.

Reki knew that his mother would have scolded him for not going to bed as soon as he arrived home, but he couldn't bring himself to care. Instead he spent another entire hour pacing around the hallway in front of the door, impatiently and restlessly stressing about them. He even started to fidget nervously as the unsettling and agonizing feeling of distress begun to bore through him. Why hadn't they come home yet? Did something happen to them? If so, then what? Are they okay? Are they safe? What if they were in some kind of grave danger? Reki couldn't help but obsess over every possible thing that could have happened to them. He couldn't shake off the niggling feeling that something bad really had happened to them. That his nerve-racking thoughts, were actually right.

Reki considered calling his grandmother, because maybe she knew something about this? But he decided it'd be better if he didn't. He didn't want to wake her, or worry her for that matter. And lord knows, she is probably too old to survive that kind of terror. Besides, it's not like the old age home would allow Reki to call her at this time in the morning anyway.

Eventually Reki's prays to the gods were met with an answer, when his phone started ringing. It was an unknown number, of course, but that wasn't much of a surprise, and he answered it anyway.

"Hello, is this Reki Kyan speaking?"

"Yes, ma'am, that would be me."

"I apologize for calling this late at night. . . Or this early in the morning, I guess."

"That's alright. I was awake anyway."

"Uh, I see. Well, I'm calling from Okinawa Hospital. Your mother and three sisters got into a really bad car accident a few hours ago, and-"

"What do you mean a few hours ago?!"

"Well, uh, it would have taken us a while to transport them to our hospital, then identity them, then find any family members we may be able to contact, and then find your phone number, uh, Sir."

"Whatever, I'm on my way!" Reki instantly hung up on the receptionist, not caring if she had anything more to say, he flung his phone across the room and sprinted out the front door.

Reki burst through the hospital doors and hurried to the reception desk. The air was crisp and tasted sterile, but Reki didn't have time to think about it, he just needed to find his family. The receptionist seemed to understand that Reki didn't want to waist idle time trying to catch his breath again, so she quickly asked: "Name?"

"Reki. . . Reki Kyan," He said, still panting.

"And you are here to see?"

"Literally anyone who goes by the name Kyan."

"Aha." The receptionist turned away from staring captiously at Reki to type away at her computer. "I'm going to need to see some kind of ID to prove that it's actually you."
