Hikari's mother was currently standing over the two children.

Hikari's mother: You two are so cute. You have my blessing.

Hikari's father: Honey, don't you think it's a bit too early to be thinking about giving our daughter away?

Hikari's mother: I know but look at them.

Hikari's father: Can't we just enjoy them being kids and worry about that stuff later?^I know Y/n's not a bad person but he's mentally unstable. Although I wouldn't mind Y/n being her suitor. From the conversations we've had, I can see he is very intelligent and capable. Once he's stable he would be a very valid option for her. But my wife doesn't know this.^ What makes you think Y/n's good enough?

Hikari's mother: A hunch.

Y/n: U-Uncle?

Hikari's father: Ah Y/n your up.

Y/n: Yes..

Hikari's father: I'll be driving you two to school so you can take a bit more time getting ready.

Y/n: I understand.

Y/n tried to get up but his hand was restricted by Hikari.

Y/n:...

Y/n looked to the two adults for help with a solemn look on his face.

Hikari's father: There will be a time when we aren't available so do it yourself.

Y/n nodded.

Y/n: Hikari.

...

...

...

Y/n: Hikari.

...

...

...

Y/n: ^Weird she responded instantly when it was Auntie. Maybe it was because she's her mother.^

Y/n then poked Hikari's cheek making her stir.

Hikari: *Yawn* It's morning already.

Y/n: Can you please let go?

Hikari: AHH!

She instantly pushed Y/n away in a flustered manner making him tumble off the bed and onto the ground.

Y/n: ^Is she going to react like this every time?^

--

Y/n: Uncle, that warm feeling I had came back again yesterday.

Hikari's father: Oh, tell me more.

Y/n: It lasted longer this time but it definitely keeps happening because of Hikari. I'm not sure why though.

Hikari's father: ^Hmm, is he catching feelings?^

Y/n: Yesterday you said I had to suffer to become a man.

Hikari's father: Yes, I did say that.

Y/n: Does that mean Hikari has to suffer to become a woman? I don't want her to suffer like me. I feel like the warmth she gives off will dim or will be completely blocked out if she does. I want to protect her from that.

Hikari's father: ^Ehhh, you might as well just ask me to give you two your blessing.^

Y/n: Why do I feel that way? I feel like I had it long ago but lost it I don't want her to lose it too.

Hikari's father: ^Phew he's not catching feelings.^ I see I understand, that light you feel from Hikari is innocence. We all have it when young and as we grow older it diminishes.
