Trigger Warnings : reference to attempted suicide, implied almost drowning, flashback of dehydration, hospitalization.

Chan goes to the beach alone.

He always sends a text to Changbin in case, despite him going to the beach every day. He used to go to the pool but with so many people, he never had the space for himself and the pool can't replace her.

He also had to have some private sessions to learn how to stay underwater longer and to learn how to swim without his legs anymore.

It's not more different than when he had his legs, he just uses his arms more now.

When he arrives, Felix is there, waving at him and Chan sends back one before he goes to take off his clothes. He already has his swimming trunks on and doesn't mind the weird looks on him since he's paraplegic and they just must be worried he'll actually go in the sea.

Which he is.

Felix is already by his side, gently pushing his wheelchair, "Like usual ?"

Chan grins as he puts his clothes in the bag hooked behind his chair, "Yep, don't forget my phone," he tells him and Felix nods.

He trusts Felix and they're really good friends now, so letting him keep the phone in case Changbin calls is the best thing to do since the last time.

("Oh my fucking god," Changbin wheezes, terribly tired after running, and he slumps on the sand while Chan hurries to crawl to his side.

"Bin ? What are you doing here ?" He asks in confusion and Changbin glares at him.

"You weren't answering your phone ! I got scared ! I thought something happened to you !" he presses his hands on his face and Chan softens, but he wants to tease.

"Aw Binie, you know I can't take the phone in the water ?"

"I hate you hyung."

Chan laughs at him and hugs him despite being completely dripping wet. Changbin doesn't mind and finally relaxes.)

Chan goes down on the warm sand and he sighs in satisfaction when the first wave greets him, "Thanks Lixie."

Felix grins, "No problem, enjoy the sea !" and with that he goes to retreat the wheelchair and locks it against the lifeguard's chair.

Chan stares at the water, caresses it, "Hi," he murmurs pleasingly, feels the vibration on his hand of her words.

He crawls deeper into the water until it's at his chest level and Chan leans forward to start swimming. He knows where to go deep and when not too. He's thinking of having some sessions to dive too, would be fun with Changbin.

But he needs to go deeper, needs to learn all of her secrets, sees all of her family, shares a private moment with her.

Chan closes his eyes and listens to her, the feelings of her touches sliding along his body until he can't feel it anymore.

He relaxes for a few minutes, lets himself be swayed by the gentle inner waves before he needs to go back to the surface. Everything's muffled from here, it's soothing to have this silence, as if he's alone.

When he opens his eyes, he's met with two sharp eyes.

Chan's heart leaps in surprise and he quickly backs off, knowing he doesn't have a lot of time with how his heart is pumping blood too fast.

It's a man.

He's naked and Chan doesn't understand what's going on, until the man grabs at his arm and yanks him roughly towards him, faces too close for his liking.
