Scarlett's POV
The ceremony was over, and I still didn't see her. Of course, why would she want anything to do with me after I've broken her so badly? Just as I was lost in my own thoughts, I saw Exton approaching Rose, who was sitting beside me, devouring the wedding cake with Susan following closely behind.

After capturing her attention, he passed a box over to Rose, telling her it was from her favorite person and that they missed her a lot. I looked over to Hunter, who was as confused as I was, and over to Susan, who was wearing a sad smile that confused me even further.

Watching Rose as she opened up the box and I gasped. It's a couple necklace, one for an adult and another for a child. I picked up the necklace and saw that the front of the adult necklace was decorated with topaz of the different rainbow colors and citrine over it, my birthstone. In the middle was my birth flower.

While the child's necklace was decorated with Sardonyx, Spinel & Peridot, the birthstones of Roses, and the center was her August birth flower. I flipped both necklaces and realized that the decorations were the same, except that the middle of this time was not our birth flower but its carved wording. "תמיד" (ˈôlˌwāz) I identified the language as Hebrew.

Before I could get up to ask my mum what that meant, my mum already beat me. "Always. That's what the carving means." my mum looked at me knowingly.

My eyes widened instantly, knowing who it was from. Always, was our saying since vicennial ago. A saying that I shared with my person, my first person, Yn.

I immediately took off, running toward the exit, ignoring all the shouts from the guest and my husband. I missed her all over again as I saw a car drive past me as I reached the door and saw the person inside the car. Yn. She came, she really came. She still kept her promise to be here for me all these years even though I didn't.

Running after the car shouting for Yn, I must've looked like a runaway bride, but who cares. I won't lie. This thought did cross my mind. I never realized how much I missed her until she disappeared entirely from my life. I never once thought I'd lose her completely. She was always there whenever I turned to look for her. But this time, she really left for real.

Chasing after the car was just like a wild goose chase. I stood in the middle of the road, bending over, panting as I watched the car speed out of sight. Hunter and Colin caught up to me and brought me back to the wedding venue. Thankfully most of the guests had already left for the food area, and the main area was just left with our immediate family.

Colin sat me down and passed me a cup of water while my family looked at me knowingly. "Who was it that got you so worked up, honey?" Colin asked me gently, not wanting to upset me further.

Before I could think how to answer him, Rose came running over with the box of necklaces with her. "Is it, Yn? Mummy?" her big eyes looking at me, pouting.

I gasped, not expecting her to remember Yn at all. She was only three when Yn left. How did she? As if knowing my question, Rose just shrugged. "Exton said it's from my favorite person. And my only favorite person in the world is Yn."

I just nodded numbly, not knowing what to say. Before things got awkward, Hunter gasped teasingly, "I'm not your favorite person, Rosie Posey?" Rose ran away, laughing with Hunter close on her toes.

After that day, I never heard from Yn again. Just like three years ago, she disappeared from the earth's surface, entirely out of my life. Hunter still refused to tell me where she was, claiming I'd used her enough. He wouldn't let her come back to be my second choice again.
