I'm glad. You know I'm here if you need me.

How did I get such a beautiful daughter?

                                                                          Paris:

                                                         (Smiling) Your womb.

                                                                           Paris:

Yeah. I like them. (She sighs)

                                                                          Diane:

                                                           What's wrong baby?

                                                                        Paris:

I just wish dad was here to help me with my work, not that you're doing a job, you are it's just I wish dad was here. He's missed out on so much in my life, and he's going to miss much more.

                                                                        Diane:

I know baby girl, but he's always with us even though you can't see him.

                                                                                   Paris:

I know. You're right, but in a time like this, it's hard not to think about him, you know?

                                                                                    Diane:

I know. I miss him too. He was my love. My soulmate.

                                                                                       Paris:

I'm sorry mom to bring up painful memories.

                                                                                   Diane:

Those memories were the funniest, and most exciting ones yet.

                                                                        Paris:

Yeah, I know. Dad was a funny, sweet guy.

                                                                       Diane:

                                                                Yes, he was.

Diane and Paris finish their lunch and Paris goes upstairs

                                                                    Paris:

I think I'm going to the lake to sketch if that's okay.

                                                                Diane:

Yeah, of course, it's okay. I'll just be here trying to come up with a plot for a novel that I've wanted to write for a few weeks.

                                                                Paris:

You can do it, Mom. I'll be back in an hour or so.

                                                           Scene:

Diane nodded and Paris grabbed her sketch bag which was always by the door.

                                                             Paris:

                                                     Be back soon.
