Int. Paris' room- after calling Lexi
Scene:
Paris finishes getting ready for the mall date with Lexi. She puts on a light jacket. She clicks her tongue while looking at herself in the mirror. She goes downstairs and finds Diane tearing up.
Paris
Mom? What's wrong?
Scene:
Diane suddenly notices Paris watching her.
Diane
Nothing, Baby Bear.
Paris
I don't believe you, mom. What the heck is going on?
Diane
It's nothing. Just bills and stress.
Paris
Okay, Let me know if I can help mom. I have the money you know.
Diane
I'm not taking your money, Paris. I'm fine. Everything is fine.
Paris
Okay.
Scene:
The next hour is short. Lexi honks the horn to alert Paris that she's there. Paris goes outside to a smiling Lexi. She is wearing the same shirt as Paris.
Paris
You're wearing The "BFF" shirt!
Lexi
It seemed appropriate.
Paris
My thoughts exactly.
Lexi
(laughs) Now get your butt in the car. Let's escape parents.
