A True Mother

The Truth

Elaine was walking around town avoiding her kids, especially Klaus and Rebekah. She didn't have the guts to face them.

Walking around the corner from the grill she bumped into two people. She saw it was the blonde from yesterday and Jeremy.

She smiled at the boy ignoring the blonde. "Jeremy, how have you been?"

Jeremy smiled at her before it fell. He shrugged debating if he should tell her or not.

"What is it? Is Damon bothering you again?" She asking checking his body for injuries.

"No. No it's just now that Esther is gone they're trying to find another way to get rid of the Mikaelsons... and you." He says looking at her.

"Oh." She looks to the blonde who refused to look at her. "Why did you lead him out?" She asks. The blonde doesn't answer. "Why?" Elaine asks again.

"They forced me to. Told me if I didn't they would hurt my mom, drain her blood then compel her to hate me. I didn't want to hurt him but I couldn't risk my mom getting hurt." The blonde says with tears coming out her eyes.

Elaine becomes soft at this. She hugs the girl as she cries in her shoulder. "I'm so sorry." She says in Elaine shoulder.

"It's okay, I'm sorry they made you do it. I can talk to your mother put a spell on her, she can't be compelled by no one, not even another witch."

The blonde pulls back wiping her eyes. "You would do that?" She asks.

"Of course, if my mother was still here I wouldn't want anyone threatening her. I also didn't catch your name." She says.

"It's Caroline."

"Well Caroline, Jeremy if they threaten you again," she pulls out her phone and shows them her number. "Just give me a call or text." She waits until they get her number before putting her phone away. "I'll see you guys later, remember call. Damon is nothing but a kid in a grown man body."

They laugh as she walks into the grill. She goes to the bar and waits for someone to walk to her. She looks around to see all her kids. Luckily they didn't notice her so she turned as someone came to take her order.

She put her order in and sipped on her sprite. She rolled her eyes when she saw Damon and Stefan sit on each side of her. "What could you both possibly want?"

"Well when you find out you're their real mother, we couldn't possibly pass up the opportunity to ask questions." Damon says.

"You can quit saying we, Damon. I could care less, she's probably the same as Mikael and Esther. I mean she did let Esther take her kids. What's to say she wasn't abusing them as well?" He says

Elaine grabs Stefan by the neck and chokes him. "You know nothing of me. Just because your abusive father hit you doesn't mean I hit my kids. I love them, Esther killed my husband, erased their memories and fled. Don't you ever say I abused them, when I loved them even when I took my last breathe. Just say you don't know what a mother's love is Stefan, I mean your mother "died"." She looks at Damon. "You, you're just a broken little boy who acts tough. But guess what, go take your mommy issues somewhere else and leave me the hell alone."
(Sorry if its sound heartless but like, 1. she's angry from what Stefan said and 2. idc).

She let Stefan go and turn to see her children looking at the situation. She places money on the counter and leaves. She didn't have time for this, walking farther from the grill she takes a deep breathe.

She sees a bench and goes to sit down. Placing her face in her hands she starts to cry. Was she really a bad mother if she let another women kill her and take her kids. She couldn't even save her husband.

She didn't feel her kids sitting and standing near her. Simone was the one to pull her into a hug. "If you need us to kill them we can." Simone says hugging her mother.

She laughs and places her head on her shoulder. "No it's fine. I just needed to let that out."

There's a silence before Klaus talks, "Can we finally learn the truth?"

Marsai rolls her eyes. "You would know the truth if you would get over yourself."

"Don't start." Elaine says before they could start fussing. "If you want the whole we should go my house."

She stands and looks ate kids, they look at her confused. She just smile and turns, as they are suddenly in the woods looking at a nice house surround by flowers, herbs, trees and animals.

It had a nice patio and yard in the back where Elaine loved to spend her time. "Well welcome to my humble adobe, maybe it will be for you guys as well." She walks around the house towards the back. "Come on we're going to my favorite part."

They follow as they get to the back of the house. They looked in awe, the backyard was huge.  She took her shoes off and laid on the ground. 

They all saw how relaxed she looked as she laid there. "Well don't just stare, come lay down."

They hesitated before going to Elaine. They laid in the awkward silence for a while.

"Instead of me talking, I'm going to show you." Before any of them could talk their eyes were closed and their minds were blank. 

Suddenly they appeared to see a young Elaine with someone. "I bet you are all wondering who's that? That's my husband and you guys father.'" They jumped when they heard the voice. "Relax, it's just me."

They looked at a happy and young Elaine. She was sitting on the blanket with the unknown man. 

"Well that isn't important," She says as she changes the scene. 

Elaine showed them her whole journey up to the point of Esther and Mikael killing her and her husband. 

They open there eyes and sit up to look at Elaine to see her looking ahead. They all have tears in their eyes as they look at their mother. 

Rebekah was the first to go up to her and hug her. Elaine hugged her back as the girl cried. "I'm here now." 

Rebekah felt at peace a little knowing she was finally going to get motherly love. She finally pulled away but Elaine didn't have anytime before she felt to more bodies hugging her. It was Klaus and Kol. 

"Oh my babies." she says hugging tighter. Her heart broke at their sobs. They were crying harder than the others. She calmed them down the best way she could as she was a little smaller than them and they were squeezing the life out her. 

She looked at her other kids and gestured for them to come over. They all came over and hugged her. She felt a little happier that she had her kids fully.

She felt at peace with this but something always interrupts peace

I hate this chapter but I had to get the "what actually happened" story out the way. Sorry for not updating fast but I have 2 weeks of school left of highschool and then I'm done and work been having me work almost everyday, so my schedule kind of busy.
