It was now fully nighttime, with everyone in their respective camps. The dark sky mixed with bright colors, making the night more beautiful.
Oh, yeah, and Luz pretty much tried to trap Eda and Autumn.
Meanwhile, at the Blight camp, Edric was arguing with his sister about what to do with the bat that he had caught in the last part of this chapter.
"Ed, give me the bat." Emira demanded.
"No! If we're not gonna eat it, I wanna keep it as a pet!" Edric protested before he ran off.
"Get back here before that thing bites you!" Emira told, running after him.
"Huh... that's not something you see every day." You said.
"What?" Amity asked.
"Having a bat as a pet." You answered.
"Yeah, you can technically own one here, but it's not highly encouraged." Amity clarified.
"I remember this one kid from the Human Realm used to keep a purple snake as a pet because he didn't want to think before he did anything." You then realized. "Wait, I have him confused with some country boy across the multiverse."
"The multiverse?" Amity scrunched her face in confusion.
"Never mind, forget that I said that." You waved off. "I actually had this last project in school and one of the spiders that got out went onto my hand and bit there. My dumbass thought I was gonna become Spider-Man."
"You? As Spider-Man?" Amity raised her eyebrow with a smirk.
"Hey, anyone can wear the mask! Spider-Verse taught me that." You said with pride. "Besides, I'm pretty sure the radioactive venom was setting in."
"Sure." Amity said.
"What? I still passed out, albeit I didn't have any flashing images or remarkable abs but that's not the point!" You told.
"I'm kidding." Amity giggled before sighing and looking up at the sky. "Stars are beautiful tonight."
You hum in agreement. "I wonder what Luz is doing right now."
Little did you know, she was right behind some rubble and heard your conversation with Amity. She had to make sure the coast was clear, for she was about to do something really, really stupid. She snuck around to another tent, looking behind herself to be careful. After kneeling down, Luz peeks through the flaps and notices the spellbook and wand.
