Hey, guys. Now, look, I know I've been off Wattpad for the past couple of months. It's been a few crazy months for me, to say the least. I left my last school year thinking I was gonna have a stress free summer... I was horribly wrong.
*Extreme rant coming up*
So my theater teacher decided to pitch this script to my school and they approved it. He gave us lines to read just before the final exams and wanted to hear how we would do those lines if we were signing up for the same class for next year. Me, who had done exceptionally well during a one-act play my previous year, was "given" the villain role to read (because I was a corrupt king last year and playing villain roles are totally awesome).
After the year had ended, my theater teacher had released his dream cast for the play he pitched and you'll never guess what I got...
I got the villain role! However, that's the neat thing here: He's more of a fanatical secondary antagonist who highly believes in the law.
Oh, and the play is called The Crucible. I'm basically an old white dude named Deputy Governor Danforth...
So I'm just looking this dude up and get this email. My theater teacher is giving this email to all of the theater students from beginners to advanced levels, to tell us that we had to memorize our lines over the summer...
I'm sure you know that I didn't memorize a single damn word until school came back in.
The play opens on October 16th to the 17th. Though, we couldn't begin getting our foot out the door because my theater teacher ended up leaving the school. He was offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that called for him up north, I believe.
