Second Ball of Chances (Miya Atsumu x OC)

Chapter 10: When the timing is off...

It's been days when Atsumu met Michiko and Ina after his match. Here so he thought that she was cool about everything but realized that he made it harder for her.

He sighed loudly as  he remembered her frustrated voice and how the girl bawled her eyes out.

"Are you fine?" Rintaro asked his friend but he felt like he was not in the mood to talk. 

"Sorry for bringing them."

His dead eyes glared at his friend and sighed. "Not your fault. Should I get things straight? Should I apologize?"

"She was drunk. Don't need to beat yourself up." Suna reassured him.

He shrugged but he was surprised when an unknown number called him.

"Yes, hello. Miya Atsumu speaking."

"S-sure." he said as Suna waited for him to finish.

"Who was that? Why do you look like an idiot?" He asked.

"It was Michiko."

"Huh? What? Wait, did she say something?"

"She wants to meet."

They have decided to meet at the Miya Onigiri after their respective commitments. Osamu prepared his specialty and left the two of them to talk. Michiko also rented the whole place so that they could talk freely.

"I'm sorry, I know I have said a lot of useless things. I was so drunk. I don't have any excuses and I don't intend to do one. I just want to apologize." Michiko said without looking at the setter.

"It already happened. I think we really need to pick ourselves from where we left off." Atsumu was determined to talk things out but he noticed Michiko's trembling hands. 

"You're shaking. Are you fine?"

"I am fine. You want to talk about the day I ghosted everyone or our breakup?" She held her hand firmly and spoke calmly.

"Are you sure? I'll wait until you are fine. You don't need to force yourself."

"Tsumu, I am fine. So, which one is it?"

"Did you leave because of me?" Atsumu closed his eyes waiting for her answer. He already knew the answer but still wanted to hear it from her.
