Chapter 16: The Antagonist

Michiko arrived at the filming site with her puffy eyes that made some of the crew and staff worried. Her co-actor, Jiro also noticed her unusual coldness and lethargic vibe.

"What drama have you watched that made your eyes swell?" Jiro asked comfortably.

The actress sighed. "1 liter no Namida"

"No questions asked that drama literally made my tear ducts dry." He jokingly said that made her let out a small smile. "Oh. You finally smiled."

"Did I?"

"Yup. Are you feeling down these past few days?"

"Senpai. Can we not talk about it?"

Jiro pouted and put his forehead against hers. Michiko was stunned that made her blushed. "Sure. Let's not talk about it." he said as he pulled away and gave her a concert ticket.

"This is on Friday. It's our homecoming concert. I would really appreciate if you come."

"Senpai, you gave me five tickets." Michiko said as she counted the tickets on her hand.

"Yep. Bring your friends so that you will not feel you are alone. That will be your ticket as well for the press." Maekawa smiled at her.

She looked at the actor and scratched her chin. "I'll go."

"Well then, how about dinner? Tonight? Are you free?" She thought that Jiro was finished but, guess not as he invited her to a dinner.

"I am free but how about the rumors?" She asked.

"Are you scared that they might write things about us?" Jiro asked nonchalantly.

Michiko bit her lower lip as she anxiously looked at her co-actor. "I mean, that will not be good for you."

"Hmmm. Don't mind it. I'll pick you up at your house tonight." The actor smiled at her and went his way.

Aiko who packing Michiko's things. Looked at the actress and gave a suspicious smile. "Oh, boy. I think, Sato-san has a new rival!"

The actress flinched and scoffed. "What? No, we are just friends. And Aiko-chan. I am not in a position to date anyone."

"Didn't you and Sato-san broke up?"

"There was never an us. You see, he is my childhood friend and up until now we are good friends. It is true that he was my fiancé as we were arranged to get married."

"Michiko-chan, either way, you will still broke your engagement with my boss. I mean, the kids' father, right? You guys were always including him to your fight. And that day!"

"Oh come on. I'm disgusted. We are always mentioning him but all of these have nothing to do with Jiro-senpai. I just don't want to remember that day."

Her assistant gave her a small smile. "Jiro-san likes you, Michiko! Go out with him!"

Michiko only laughed while her assistant was so giddy but they stopped when an authoritative voice came over. "Date who?"
