Off Key 2: Your Voice

It was lunch time when they all headed up to the roof.

The second Jeongin walked through the doors, Chan ran to him.

"Hey babe, are you okay?" He asked as Jeongin nodded his head. "Yeah, totally."

"Felix told us that he found you. Did you get in trouble?" Jeongin shook his head, walking over to the rest, with tray in hand.

Chan was confused but decided maybe it wasn't anything of a big deal.

He sat back with the rest next to Jeongin, who didn't say anything, and just continued eating his food.

"How's the principal like?" Jisung asked Jeongin who stopped chewing and swallowed.

"She's nice, and really a good principal I would say. The office is different too." He responded with.

"What'd she want you for?" Minho asked as Jeongin quickly tried to come up with something. "Nothing special. She just wanted to formerly introduce herself to me."

Felix and Chan then became confused. "But you were in the counselors?" Felix asked, even though he knew the answer as Jeongin nodded his head, feeling like he had just gotten caught.

"Yeah, I wasn't feeling well so she sent me to the counselors." He said as Chan now got worried. "Are you feeling okay?"

Jeongin nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm just feeling a little tired." He said as he tried moving onto the next subject, but this didn't go by unnoticed by Felix.

They all then began to talk about Friday.

"Has anyone ever heard of songs that (G)I-dle have made?" Changbin asked as they all shook their heads.

"I've never heard of them before. Like how good can they be?" Hyunjin said, laying on Seungmin's lap.

"Apparently really fucking good if JYP even said they're the best." Minho answered. "Well, if their so good, how come I haven't heard any of their songs?!" Hyunjin said as he sat up, making the others laugh.

"No idea, maybe they're actually not that good but JYP says they're good to scare us, y'know?" Jisung said trying to make a point. "What if they're actually amazing and are better than us?" Felix asked as Chan shook his head.

"I'm sure they are amazing but you guys know we're great. Our song's up on the charts, remember?" Chan responded as Seungmin thought about something.

"That was last school year, are we still on the charts?" He asked as they all froze a bit and quickly reached for their phone, looking through any and all music charts they could find and looked for their song.

"Okay, our song's not here anymore but that's okay. We can always make new ones." He said trying to convince the rest who weren't really convinced.

"Who's number 1?" Jeongin asked, who was laying on Chan's shoulder.

"A song by (G)I-dle called 'Tomboy'." He responded as the rest looked through other charts.

"And that song is number 1 on other charts too.." Seungmin said, turning his phone off. "Okay, that's bullshit." He continued as Hyunjin was still shocked by them being number 1.

"We have to listen to it!" Hyunjin said, trying to look for the song online. "No! You do realize, doing that is only giving them more streams?" Seungmin said, pushing the phone out of his hands.

"Right, you have a point."

"Besides," Chan said also shutting his phone off too. "We'll listen to it live anyways Friday."
