Off Key 2: Your Voice

Hyunjin arrived back home seeing Yeji on the couch watching TV, with a blanket.

"Hey, I'm back home!" He said as he hopped over to her and laid down next to her. He rested his legs on her as she turned down the volume.

"Hey, haven't seen you in awhile."

"We just saw each other at school."

She smiled, rolling her eyes. "I mean at home! How was your group sleepover and Seungmin's?"

"It was good. We ended up being late and got detention on the first day." She shoved his legs off as he laughed. "Really? First day?"

He placed them back on her lap as he smiled. "Yup!"

The sound of noises coming from the kitchen interrupted Hyunjin.

"Shit!" A voice he heard said.

"Who's here?" He asked Yeji. "Ryujin's here. She's making me a sandwich with a tea, and I think she may be struggling."

Ryujin walked out of the kitchen, with a two sandwiches on the plate, and a mug into the living room.

"Oh, hi Hyunjin, when did you get here?" He asked as he laughed again. "Not too long ago. Wow, you're really a housewife now."

She tried to flip him off as Yeji smiled at the interaction. "Here you go babe."

"Thanks."

Ryujin sat down by her. "Are you sure you don't want me to head to the pharmacy? I can get some medicine real quick."

She shook her head.

"Are you sick?" Hyunjin asked as Yeji shook her head again. "No, I'm just feeling a bit tired. It's probably just getting back into the routine of school."

"I've been taking care of her but she's been fine throughout the whole day." Ryujin said.

"Oh! You didn't tell me what happened with JYP!" Yeji eyes lit up as she adjusted her position, facing her brother.

"Oh yeah! Turns out we're not going to idols anymore and stick with being a band."

Ryujin was shocked to hear this. "Oh wow, it would've been cool if you guys were."

He shrugged his shoulders and sat up. "Maybe but we were all kinda relieved to be a band still." He got up, and grabbed a sandwich from the plate as Ryujin glared at him.

"Dude, that was gonna be my sandwich." Yeji laughed and laid her head on Ryujin. "Let him be..."

Hyunjin stuck his tongue out and was starting to head to his room, until he remembered something.

"Oh right! JYP also said that there's another band who are way better than us supposedly and me and the guys are going to see this band live Friday. Do you guys know anything about them?"

"Who are they?" Yeji asked.

"A girl group called (G)I-dle?"

Ryujin's eyes now lit up. "Oh! They're so good! I love their songs!"

Hyunjin rolled his eyes as Yeji slightly hit Ryujin's leg. "What? I'm being honest!"

Yeji smiled and looked back at Hyunjin. "I've heard a couple songs from them and they're honestly pretty good. Never seen them live though."

Hyunjin sighed, taking another bite of the sandwich. "Fuck. Thanks." He muffled.

He headed back to his room, and sighed with a half eaten sandwich in his hand. Hyunjin sat down at his desk, wondering how the rest of the week was going to go, leading up to Friday.
