Linhardt x Reader

(Y/N)'s pov

  I woke to the sound of knocking on my door. I groaned and got out of bed. I opened the door and guess what... It was Caspar. "What do you want? I was trying to sleep..." I said, yawning. "Wanna go train with me?!" He asked loudly. "Fine. I'll go, but only for a little bit." I responded. "YAY!!! THANKS (Y/N)!!!" Caspar yelled. I now had a tired smile on my face due to the boy's excitement.

  "Before we head to the training grounds, let's go get Linhardt." Caspar said with a smirk on his face. Caspar was the only one who knew about my crush on Linhardt. Caspar's a good friend and he's never told anyone, although, he keeps trying to set me up with Linhardt and it's awkward. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

  "Fine... Let's go get Linhardt." I said. I might have sounded upset, but in reality, my heart was pounding with joy. Oh how I love Linhardt! We walked towards Linhardt's room and knocked on the door. As expected, we got no response. "he's probably asleep, we should just come back another time." I said. "Nope, we're not leaving. I have an idea." Caspar said, smirking. "Oh god. What are you going to do Caspar?" I asked in a worried tone. I got no response. Caspar raised his leg and kicked Linhardt's door down. He walked right in and headed over to Linhardt's snoozing figure. "LINHARDT!!! WAKE UP!!!" Caspar screamed right in Linhardt's ear. The sleeping boy immediately shot up out of bed. 

Linhardt's pov

  "What the hell Caspar?!" I yelled. "Hey Linhardt, do you want to go train with (Y/N) and I?" Caspar asked. Caspar was the only person who knew about my love for (Y/N). Like the good friend he is, he never told anybody. But, he keeps trying to set me up with her and every time it gets super awkward. "Fine. I'll go." I reluctantly agreed to go. 'But I'm only going because of (Y/N).' I thought as I climbed out of bed. 

Caspar's pov

  'Ha! This is the perfect opportunity to set up Linhardt and (Y/N)! They'll finally get together!' I thought. 'Today is the day that they'll get together! I'm sure of it! Because I am Caspar the most amazing matchmaker ever!' Linhardt von Hevring and (Y/N) (L/N)! I can see it now! Clear as day! They'll be the perfect couple!

(Y/N)'s pov

   'I swear to Seiros, if this is one of Caspar's stupid attempts to set me up with Linhardt, I'll beat his ass.' I sighed. "What's wrong (Y/N)?" Linhardt asked, frowning. "Everything is fine," I lied. "I'm just tired, that's all." "Yeah... Same here." Linhardt yawned. "Oh come on you two! This'll be fun! Just three best friends hanging out!" Caspar's excitement brought a smile to my face, as it did to Linhardt. 'I guess Caspar's happiness is just contagious.'

   Eventually, we arrived at the training grounds. Once we entered I grabbed a pair of gauntlets while Caspar grabbed an axe. Linhardt just stood there. "Hey Linhardt!" Caspar yelled. "Come grab a weapon!" " I'm a mage! I don't need a weapon dumbass!" Linhardt yelled back.

   I walked up to Caspar, "Hey, wanna duel? Fair warning, I'm pretty good." I said, a cocky grin on my face. "Fine, but if I win, you have to tell Linhardt." "Tell me what?" Linhardt walked over to us. "Nothing. Caspar, you have a deal. I won't lose." I said, holding out my hand. Caspar shook it and we walked over to a place where we could duel. Linhardt sat down. "I'm just going to spectate alright..."

   Now it was time to fight, 'There's no way I'll lose.' At least, that's what I thought.

Linhardt's pov

   Caspar and (Y/N) were going to fight. Caspar said that if (Y/N) loses, then she has to tell me something. But what was it? 

3rd person pov

   As Linhardt spectated and thought about what it was that (Y/N) was going to tell him, Caspar charged towards (Y/N) and swung his axe but she stuck out her leg and tripped him before the axe could hit her. Caspar fell face-first into the dirt and his axe flew out of his hand.

   Caspar pushed himself up from the ground. "Caspar, since you don't have a weapon to use, I won't use one either, so it's fair." (Y/N) said, chucking her gauntlets to the side. 'What am I doing?! There's literally no way that I can beat Caspar with raw strength alone! Am I trying to lose?! SHIT!!!' She thought. Caspar smirked.

   (Y/N) charged at Caspar and punched him in the face. He responded by kicking her right in the knee causing her to fall to the ground. She pushed herself back up and kicked Caspar across the face. Nothing seemed to affect Caspar because he just kept fighting no matter how many times (Y/N) attacked him. Eventually he hit (Y/N) so hard that she flew across the training grounds. Literally. She crashed into a training dummy and fell to the ground. "Caspar, I surrender." "YEAH!!! Now you have to tell him!"

   (Y/N) groaned and walked over to Linhardt who braced himself for whatever she was going to say. "I've got something to tell you Linhardt." "Yes?" "I-I-I like you, like, really like you, like, I love you Linhardt. I really do. Please don't let this ruin our friendship."

Linhardt's pov

   My eyes widened and my face turned red. 'She loves me... SHE LOVES ME!!! This is amazing!' I smiled. "I love you too (Y/N)." She looked shocked and then she hugged me. "I'm never going to let you go." Her words were muffled because her face was nuzzled into the crook of my neck. "Then don't." I said.
